Grandmother decided the Christmas money would go to a local shelter for battered women and their children. They also take in families who find themselves out in the cold at this time of year, up to their limited facilities. It's a great cause, and a great group of people giving of themselves to others. We've all decided that grandmother's decision was the epitome of the gifts we could have received. :)

Yay Merry Christmas! Ate at 2pm and its now 9.30 and Im still stuffed! Yummy turkey!! Had the usual family arguments and I made my usual attempt to keep out of them! Hehe.

Got lot's of cool stuff, necklace, earrings, new coat, new TV and sky for my room (<3), perfume, clothes, DVDs and CD's, alarm clock and of course chocolate!! My sis got a bright pink mini fridge though and I'm all jealous!! ;)

Nice day, but Christmas is no where near as cool as when I was little. Kinda feel like I'm in Christmas limbo till I have my own children. Hope you all had a fab day too! :)

The holiday started out bad with a December 23rd visit to the emergency room and a diagnosis of severe bronchitis.

On Christmas Eve, it was decided I should dress up like Santa and make lots of noise outside of the window of my Dad's gf's kids. While on top of a ladder hitting the roof to simulate footsteps, I overbalanced and fell about 9 feet. Surprisingly, I survived unscathed.

Today was much better...

An awesome pair of insulated Carhart bib-overalls for my railroading career.
Craftsman socket/wrench set.
Three Nautica button-ups.
A programmable coffee maker.
A set of clear glass dishes.
Mach 3 Turbo Power travel shaving set.
A new black hoodie.
All kinds of smelly stuff including shower gel, deodorant, cologne, aftershave. Maybe someone was trying to give me a hint.
Lots of chocolate goodies.
A few Benjamins.

a kickass new printer, 200 bucks towards Stun's ticket to come see me for 9 days w00t, new baking dishes, a really adorable plate that my daughter made in kindergarten, 2 new ornaments that have my kiddo's pictures in them ( I love ornaments and collect unique ones), lotsa chocolate (nummy), 100 dollars in Wally World gift cards.

All in all it was a nice christmas but damn I'm glad it's over and done with. When did Christmas become so much freakin work? I wish I could go back to being a kid who did nothing but try hard to sleep the night before and wake up to loads of fun, food, toys and candy hehe.

Merry Christmas everyone! Its been an interesting one. I got yelled at by a woman coming out of Wal-Mart behind me, because I said Merry Christmas to the bell ringer for the Salvation Army. I got a nasty tap on the shoulder and a, "You can't say that to people anymore!!!"
I just said, don't touch me again, and Merry Christmas to you too.

That said, suddenly for Christmas I ceased to exist as me, since almost everything I got revolved around things for the baby. (who isnt making an appearance till June-ish, and we don't even know what sex it is yet!!!)

So now I have a ton of baby things!
