Hulkein, that's a shame.

Yes.... thanks for reminding me, I appreciate it.

He may be back for the Super Bowl if we finally make it.

Yeah, I wouldnt cross your fingers (re: the Eagles actually making it to the Superbowl for once).

Seriously weak. How do they go from "sprained ankle" to "season missing surgery"?

It's not like he's been playing like a superstar the past two games anyway. Grumble, grumble.

Don't worry, the rest of the recievers will step up and play just as they always have in the past.

Does it matter? All will fall before the blue nation!

Heh, I agree with the sentiment of the first part of your post, but GreenBay couldn't hold Temple University to 3 points if they passed it all game.

Their secondary is pitiful.

Revenge of the Cowboys!

I thought it was hilarious that some of the eagles fans are iriated at the lack of class that cowboys fans showed when owens went down. These are the same fans that cheered when Irvin had a career ending injury.

On the plus side this injury makes it impossible for TO to each 15 TD's so none of us will ever have to have the image of andy reid in spandex burned into our memories.

Frankly, the computerized version they showed for like three weeks got burned into my memory anyway. It's too late for that.

Exactly. Eagle fans are by far the WORST fans in Football today.

I will laugh at their 3 game losing streak that begins this coming weekend.

Heh, we'll still get to the Super Bowl.

This team is better than it was last year even without TO + horrible NFC competition.

HOLY SHIT HE IS?!?!?one

thanks for the fucking reminder, I wasnt aware of the entire state(not to mention the rest of the country) talking about him being out.

IMO westbrook is the key to the eagles. He is one of the top rushers in the league and is the second best reciever on the team. When Westbrook went out the Eagles still managed to lose only one game(to the only other team with 1 loss). Sure Owens being gone will hurt the team, but you are a retard for thinking that he is the entire eagles offense.

Seriously weak. How do they go from "sprained ankle" to "season missing surgery"?

Started as a sprained ankle during the game when they examined it in the locker room. At the MRI on monday it was diagnosed as a severe sprain and a hairline fracture. Now many players will sit out games and practice for only having a sprained ankle, so i dont know what the point of your statement is here...

Heh, I agree with the sentiment of the first part of your post, but GreenBay couldn't hold Temple University to 3 points if they passed it all game.

Ouch...

Dont forget the year the eagles took down Troy Aikmen which pretty much ended the Cowboys hopes and shortly after lead to Aikmen's retirement. We definately cheered then.

I wouldn't say Eagles fans are the worst, its Philly fans in general. It doesnt matter the sport we are rowdy anywhere. The Vet was the first stadium in the country to have a built in courtroom...

put your money where your mouth is?

Out of curiosity, how many of you who are pointing at the eagles and saying we are screwed were doing the same when McNabb went out 2 years ago? Then Koy Detmer went down injured and people thought we were done. AJ Feeley stepped it up and got the job done. AJ wasnt the key to the success while McNabb was out. The rest of the team stepped it up and made AJ's job easier. Look at how he is doing in Miami, aside from the W over the Patriots (which nobody is laughing at) he has done nothing this year.

Another thought to part with. The Eagles defense is one of the best in the league. If you look at what everyone else looks at(yards allowed) then no, they arent the best. If you look over a few columns they are one of the top 5 teams in the NFL for fewest points allowed. Now maybe its just me but that is what matters the most.

In conclusion:
Yes, I am an Eagles fan
No, I did not jump on the bandwagon
They will step up and still be extremely competetive
You are an idiot for thinking TO is going to end our season
The Pat's suck hardcore for losing to Miami

Worst fans if your from the other team, best fans if you play for Philadelphia.

Anyone isn't reaching the Superbowl. The Redskins are.

However, I agree.

< Anyone isn't reaching the Superbowl. The Redskins are. >

Philly/Jags.

Jags win at home for Superbowl.

PS. Look at my prediction when the season started. Jags 3-1 preason and make it to the playoffs. I got a good chance, I think.

Hulkein

Heh, I busted on you earlier in the year about the Jags Stunseed, but I was just trying to get on your nerves. Leftwich is a good QB, Taylor is top 8 when healthy, and you got a good D.

I hope the Jags finish strong.

To be honest, I didnt think the Jags would make it as far as they did. Now that they have I wouldnt mind seeing them in the Superbowl though, rather face them then the colts or pats.

Just some easy reading for those who dont believe.

http://www.nfl.com/probowl/nfc_roster

Couple of key facts from that:
Eagles have 9 players selected for the Pro Bowl
GB has the second most players selected from the NFC with 5
No other team has a selection from all 3 categories(Offense, Defense, Special Teams)
No other team in the NFL has 2 selections from all 3 categories.
3 of the 4 players from the secondary were selected(2 safeties and a cornerback)

Not bad for any team. And being as our secondary as in question after losing Vincent and Taylor(former Pro Bowlers)...

Sean
12-23-2004, 09:22 PM
That might have a lot to do with the fact that the NFC really sucks.

Anebriated
12-23-2004, 09:31 PM
You say that like the Eagles dont have to face the same crappy division throughout the playoffs until the superbowl...

Sean
12-23-2004, 09:34 PM
I never said they wont make it to the SB, atleast I don't think I did. But the fact that a 5-9 team can still make the playoffs says something about the NFC.

Anebriated
12-23-2004, 09:40 PM
And I never said the NFC wasnt a crappy division. It is, but the fact remains that the Eagles still have a great team, with or without TO.
