a mithril-set greyed ora claidhmore - The blade of the claidhmore has been engraved with a series of rose vines that twine their way from tip to crossguard. Complete with leaves and thorns, the vines are bereft of blossoms as they reach the guard, where clever metalwork brings the etchings to life as mithril vines coiled along both limbs. At the center of the cross is a single rose with crimson petals in a nest of verdant leaves. Below, a hilt of black oak is capped by a mithril wolf's head, its emerald eyes the same hue as the vines above. A strange necrotic haze radiates from the claidhmore. - Grimbane (+10 weighting), T1 ensorcelled

Max light. I believe 7 pounds.

CB: 60m sentral LAST CALL

Works with tainted bond. This thing is amazing, but I just don't play like I want to.

I'll entertain a cash offer or buyout offer. PM me. Will accept cash for silver or a mix of them at $8/mil.

Metal, and is it standard claidhmore weighting? If so, I'll meet the minimum bid.

Personally the only better claids out there are the Blink one, and the Undeadbane one.

This one is great for a sunfist warcamper obviously.

Not really sure why "A glaes claidhmore" is on the list either.

There's also an altered eahnor claidh out there somewhere, released via raffle like... 3-4 years ago at EG that isn't on the Legendary list either.

I remember because I saved the alteration on it:

A wide eahnor pommel has been inset with a perfect sphere of polished black opal, the metal folded about the gem like crimson scales. Gold filigree stretches up the grip and is inlaid about the cross guard, tapering slightly up the base of the crimson blade. Stretching across the chappe is a tiny inscription etched into the polished gold. The curves of the rich, crimson alloy blade are fluid and natural, narrow at its center with a wide tip giving the appearance of an elongated drop of blood.

If anyone knows where that thing is, I'd be interested.

I agree and removed it and the other treasure drop, "an ora claidhmore".

I personally put this claid on the wiki myself when I owned it. I felt it deserved to be on there.

I felt I upgraded from this one when I owned it, but not to either of those two.

Michaelous's claid should be on the legendary list too... Not too many 4x, oldstyle +50 weighted claids out there :)

A glaes claid use to be special and certainly worthy of being on the legendary list

So with major bane does this pretty much make a 101 endroll remove heads..

It did, and if altered or cared about/enhanced in any way it should remain there.

Hell, I found an enhancive glaes claid a couple months that is better. Legendary is subjective but now that the treasure system spits out 1x-4x or so I think the list should be for anything further enchanted, weighted, baned, ensorcelled, scripted or even just altered/named.

Agreed, 3x claidhs drop as loot. Rarely, but it still happens. Hell, even 4x claidhs aren't as rare as they once were.

I think the Legendary list should anything above the norm. Aka, a rare metal, extra enhansive or ability. Like Grimbane. Certainly a legendary blade.

It's tough, because the way the treasure system works versus the rate of attrition of nicer claids (people tend to sell them off before they leave), at some point in the future even what we consider "rarer" ones (veil iron, golvern and such) will exist in enough quantity to not really be legendary anymore in the same way glaes/vultite/vaalorn/mithglin are considered now.

Does that standard apply to other weapons, I wonder? It's sort of an interesting question as to what counts as truly legendary in the days of power creep.

I don't foresee golvern or veil iron claids to ever exist in quantity.
