Looking to liquidate my best items. Cash only at $8 per via paypal.

I will be eating much crow. I advertised the high end armors as sold to me by Tsin more than 10 years ago. It seems that they are not what I thought. Such a pity, 1 day too late. I like buying nice stuff but petty traders hiding behind new accounts, crying foul is ruining it for me so I'm leaving for good. Otherwise I'd BO that fog beetle brig.

Updated stats. See above for an explanation.

Sorry for the misinfo.

Upon further review and more info, as usual Tsin lies about shit.

You assess the armor for structural weaknesses and strengths.

Careful examination indicates the beetle plate armor has a base strength of 99 and a base durability of 370. You also determine the current integrity of the beetle plate armor to be at 100.0%.

Examining the armor closely, it looks like it is superbly padded against critical blows.

Roundtime: 21 sec.

the scale changed at the time his padding amounts were right alot of items got screwed

Ardwen

The scale didn't change, those are the exact same values those items were originally offered for sale at. Red Armor has exactly the padding it always had. As do hundreds of other items.

No idea who Tsin is. Still drooling though.

An old player who had a knack for acquiring expensive items and then reselling them at huge profits by posting misleading descriptions of said items.

You always overpaid, and you never quite knew if you were getting what you thought you were getting.

Excellent armors. 6lb brig, 9x, superbly crit padded brig, /drool. I still lean toward crit padding even on plate so those big invasion bosses can't one one round you quite so easy, though most full plate wearing types seem to love redux and damage padding. I did manage to one round Dasmik in HCP damage padded plate ambushing with an mcw falchion. Something like a*250 end roll, 36 pts damage, and dead!*So you got my vote on this plate too :) Ensorceling them will be very difficult, probably max T2 on brig, T3 on plate is my guestimate, and that's with a top (303 sorc rank, all other applicable skills, and enhancives) sorc.

The fusion plate will be fine, but you'd be lucky to get even aT1 on the other sets of armor.

Also, I used to think damage padding on plate was better than crit padding.

Then I got MCP plate and realized I was wrong all along.

I'm only referring to the SCP and MCP armors.

I've done 4 MCW/MCP projects ranging from 0x, 6x, and 8x, and some of those with perm resists. Specifically the 8x MCP, moderate resist, with a beast mode sorc (typically requires fixskilling them, but there are some sorcs that maintain this skill set), they were able to get T3 on it.

These armors are 9x, no resists, but one is higher padding. So I guessed the brig at T2 with beast mode sorc, and T3 on plate (maybe T4 since no resists, but doubtful). This of course depends on actual number of padding layers, and how much 9x adds to difficulty vs 8x which could be huge.

Is there a benefit to ensorcelled armor other than the small CVA bonus? Can flares occur when you are struck?

Just the CvA bonus

Ensorcelled armor also carries the No-Voln armor-Script bonus.

well that kind of sucks.

That CvA is pretty important for some classes.

All enchants do on armor is provide ds /shrug

Alashir
01-27-2017, 03:23 PM
well that kind of sucks.

IMO it's incredible. You start combining the cva with shields and innate TD bonuses to armor/shields and you're suddenly much, much more viable than you were before.

As Donquix said, technically all enchants do is add DS.

Crime in his metal bp with buckler:

Small shield focus rank3 = -3
Rank 5 shield ensorcell = -10
Rank 5 armor ensorcell = -10
Metal BP innate = -18

Grand total CvA armor/shield = -41
(-21 total in my rank 5 ensorcell brig)

Part of the reason I look at two handers, brawl, and twc as a post cap goal, -13 cva for the shield.

That CvA is pretty important for some classes.

Agreed. Many classes' TD protection spells protect only in their sphere (e.g. 508. 219, 613). Negative CvA is essentially universal TD protection.

1. Sell coins.
2. Buy item(s) you're interested in for cash that you acquired via coin sales.
3. Enjoy new item(s).

May I sell coins to enjoy unlisted items or does that trick only work in this thread?

Yes you may. But if you don't enjoy it after, jail. Straight to jail.
