Hey fellas, returning old player here thinking about coming back since EQ Landmark has officially closed and nothing better to do. Need an assessment on the state of the game. Heard the company was sold and the online pop seems crazy low from what I recall when I last played. And I'm not a buyer or seller of ingame stuff so you won't be pulling in another customer, just need a honest clear-eyed opinion before I start putting up my tent.

There were more than 500 people online the other night during an invasion/RP event thing in Ta'Vaalor. That was the most I've seen online in a while, but it usually sits between 400 and 450 during peak times.

I don't know when you last played, but I returned back in September after not playing since about 2003. There have been many positive changes to the game IMO. There is a very strong community of roleplayers, if that's what you are into.
