activation by MIU when injured

I cannot cast ewave if I have a rank 2+ injury on one arm or hand, and any injury on the other arm or hand. If I wore an ewave imbed, can I tap or rub to get an activation when I cannot cast?

PS - I noticed recently on the MIU formula page that rub and tap specifically are not affected by encumbrance (wave and raise are, as is scroll activation).

Sometimes with stuff like that its better to just test it out and only ask for clarification if it doesn't work. Only because if it does work already someone might decide it shouldn't.
