If you haven't seen these before check them out:

The entire issues are huge shots of nostalgia besides the GSIII parts.

I had all camo shit once upon a time. I also remember this doucher that used to point at me every time I cast natural colors, like that somehow nullified the spell.

Huh, imagine that. I actually had both of these issues way back in the day. Come to think of it, I might still have the 1991 one in a box somewhere.

ah back in the day of 2400 baud modems and six dollars an hour to play (which was also the cost to play Island of Kesmai on Compuserve). One hundred dollars a month didn't go far.

At the time, I thought Kesmai would last and Gemstone would not. Shows what I know.

Well, Kesmai was acquired by Newscorp, and then EA, who shut the game down. Most the people who worked on Kesmai went to various other studios, some stayed with EA.

$6 an hour... ouch. Considering inflation too, that's around $10 an hour in 2016.

You were paying a 'livable' wage to play GSIII back then!

Unfortunately with $100/month to spend on online games, I could only play an average of four hours a week. The time went very quickly. I would sometimes skip a week so I could play in 8 hour increments.
