Heya, so I won a raffle for an auction level unlock of nexus jewelry from Sunex's shop Great Escapes at EG. They're neat items and I am planning to add metals to it, but cannot make full use of it as I am not a cleric. This item was sold last year also. It has two regular levels of unlock and then the auction level. Sunex stated he had updated them somewhat from last year after a player had commented on them being a bit effeminate and added the ability to change them to something more masculine.
Sunex also said the one from last year was, instead of a raffle, auctioned off and for 60m.
The item can morph into different wear locations, different looks and you can add up to 8 custom metals to it. It can hold up to 10 nexus gems. It currently has a regular gem in it, just because I like how it looks.
a heavy silver band inlaid with petrified wyrmwood
Analysis:
You analyze your silver band and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.
The creator has also provided the following information:
This lovely piece of jewlery is a Holy Receptacle gem holder that was released at Ebon Gate 2015 by Sunex. You may PROD it to switch between masculine and feminine jewelry. THIS ITEM MAY NOT BE COSMETICALLY ALTERED IN ANY WAY!
This item has the following verbs available: RUB, TAP, WAVE, PROD, PUSH, PULL, and FLIP. Its current unlocking status is:
Fully unlocked Auction Quality. It now has the verb TICKLE. It has 8 custom metals available. Talented merchants may add one per session. Additionally, this item has the ability to store up to 10 Nexus gems inside and provides the additional benefit of not requiring the gem to be in hand to activate, set, or clear.
Your silver band is currently holding 1 gem.
You get no sense of whether or not the band may be further lightened.
There isn't much info on them on GSWiki, just this: https://gswiki.play.net/Gem_swapping_items#Nexus_Jewelry
Jewelry Types:
a heavy silver band inlaid with petrified wyrmwood
a sparkling silver ring set with a large petrified wyrmwood
a single silver earring set with a tiny petrified wyrmwood
a single silver stud set with a tiny petrified wyrmwood
a pair of silver earrings dangling a teardrop petrified wyrmwood
a braided silver necklace dangling a smooth petrified wyrmwood
a flat linked silver chain center set with a single petrified wyrmwood
a twisted silver armband set with a petrified wyrmwood
a delicate silver anklet inset with a petrified wyrmwood
a heavy silver manacle dangling a petrified wyrmwood
a tiny silver toe ring set with a heart-shaped petrified wyrmwood
some petrified wyrmwood-studded silver hip-chains

a slim silver stickpin capped with an orb-shaped petrified wyrmwood
a delicate silver bracelet inset with a brilliant petrified wyrmwood
a brushed silver wristcuff with a bezel set petrified wyrmwood
Plus you can add extra metals. I have added golvern and eahnor so far, with 6 additional metals able to be added. I got both added at regular GALD merchants so far.
Additional Verb Options:
>rub my band
You lovingly rub your hand over your silver band.
>wave my band
The silver band may only be used by Clerics.
>tap my band
The silver band may only be used by Clerics.
>pull my band
You must be holding your silver band.
>push my band
You must be holding that to push a gem in.
>rem my band
You slide a heavy silver band inlaid with petrified wyrmwood off your finger.
>pull my band
You carefully pull the wyrmwood from your silver band. It releases into your hand with a soft *HISS*.
>push my band
You carefully push your petrified wyrmwood into your band.
>tickle band
You lightly brush the surface of your golvern band. A soft *WHIR* escapes the jewlery as it twists and turns in your hand. When it finally falls silent, a heavy silver band has replaced it.
**obviously, from the verbs, I'm not a cleric**
Further Info:
Sunex said it can hold up to 10 nexus gems if used by a cleric, but will be "capped off" essentially if you put in a non-nexus. The only nexus gem that will be visible will be the last one inserted and when used, the next one will appear.
Sunex also said veil iron cannot be added as a metal as the inherent anti-magical quality of it would prevent the nexus gems from working.
MB: 10m CB: 20m to Ceyrin and sold
