Are people still doing the train for claidhmore for first 30 days?
Or is runestaff a good way to go

The trainer started me off with shield and longsword

Any insight would be helpful. I am a warrior I don't know other stuff lol

I'd vote for Claid or THW for the first 30. Get a Dreavening and bash away :)

You can claid until at least 15, then it's probably not hard to switch a sorcerer to pure, but you probably need to master a society by then. Just be sure to over-train your sorcerer spell ranks when you switch to pure (aim for getting to level +21 ranks in sorcerer spells by around level 25 along with 1x in MnE). Voln is the best option for low level pure hunting because you can use symbol of mana at the start of your hunt to pad your mana bar, and by the time you're out of mana hunting with 702, your CD will probably be up for re-casting symbol of mana.

Much like pure clerics, sorcerers are not terribly interesting to hunt with until you're older. You'll basically be casting 702 over and over and over until something dies until at least into the late 20s (at which point you might have some targets that die quickly to 719).
