Hi, you lucky people! I am here to help ElanthianSiren keep you guys in line. Now, I know you all want to behave, do you not? Of course, you do!
Seriously, let us keep things on-topic and have fun doing it, eh?

I thought you were a moderator already... if you're co-moderator, who's the other moderator?
Why are you sinking to such a low level, HarmNone, since you left Gemstone due to idiocy? Is it really any better here on these boards? Or do you get a kick out of slumming you bad bad girl you.

The other moderator for this topic is ElanthianSiren. She is much tougher than I am. No. Really. :D

Idiots were only one of the factors that made me decide to leave GS3. The fact that roleplaying was not only not required, but not even really expected, was another. Here, I do not expect to find roleplaying! ;)

Due to the extreme volatile nature of estrogen, I'll express my exuberance with a nod and smile and slowly back out of the powder keg.

The reason people left GS3 is amusing. But all point to the lack of control or care to player concerns.
Now we have the the ladies doing moderators. How quaint. I sure hope they are better than the GMS in GS3.
Of Course anything would be better than the GMS in GS.
Congrats to HarmNone as co-moderator.

I do so love the varying posts of people leaving GS due to lack of control from the staff. Contrast these with the "GMs are the Devil!" and "The GMs do nothing but oppress us!" posts for fun and games.
I do wish that the GMs would "fish or cut bait" so to speak though. A bit of consistency in policy and enforcement of said policy would be nice.

Oddly, I have never blamed the GS staff for the problems that I perceived in GS3. What I am looking for in a game may be very different than what someone else might seek.
Obviously, to many, a roleplaying game must double as a chatroom. To others, the game is all about the numbers and "winning". To still others, playerkilling is what it is all about. For me, it is about roleplaying. Unfortunately, it is very difficult (if not impossible) for such different ways of thinking and playing to co-exist in one game without somebody getting frustrated and leaving.
I have never blamed the staff.

I'd rather be under the rule of estrogen than of testosterone any day. And it's not THAT volatile...

I'm the one that blames staff.
They tend to go totally overboard on a small issue (language and names), then ignore things like cracked accounts/utter lack of RP etc.
I have personal reasons for leaving. I felt I'd been playing RPGs too long and had too many good ideas for GMing to keep being ignored. As usual, when it comes to knowing myself, I was right; however, most of the reason I've seen for folks leaving involve indifference in the face of over-policing of things that they consider important personally. Remember, perception is just your place in an issue.
BTW, Welcome to the Wildblood HarmNone. I'm glad to have you here :)
