OK, I know I've been making a lot of superfluous threads lately but this one is really serious because a thought just occured to me that could affect how a lot of us play.(especially me) Lich, Bigshot, Wraith etc. etc. you all know the software out there and many of us use said software; but perhaps all this automation has reached a tipping point for Gemstone High Command.

I've been reading into and talking with people (in-game and out) about the new Lumnis and apparently the ability to track EXP gains recurrently in a large group like what the new Lumnis presents is actually a recent development. More importantly, it isn't just EXP stats that are being tracked.

Also, there is a rumour that Wyrom and friends decided to take this path (which makes little sense since it doesn't add gameplay and is a very convoluted way of a very simple mechanic; namely extra EXP) specifically to scuttle character sales and dampen silver inflation (far fetched I know, but some ring of truth?)

Does anyone here know what the current GS GM mechanics can or cannot do in terms of tracking stats on players? Do you think if you constantly show up on the top 10 or even 20 you'll have the "Eye of Sauron" on you at all times? Will my cats be OK?

Dude. It's a game. Everything is being tracked, including as Wyrom said, lumnis exp from sometime last year. But, I mean really, is a text based game. Who gives a rat's ass what is tracked?
