Now, it's partially my fault for being AFK with my group open at the Dais.. but this is what I came back to my computer to see.

Blueland basically brings me out to forest vipers, removes me from his group. Some Vurkanaan guy call wind's me, and they leave me to die.

Anyone know who the hell this guy is?

It's my fault that I was able to be moved, but it's not my fault someone grabbed my hand, lifted me up (I was sitting), brought me out and killed me.. with no previous interaction at all.

Blueland used to be Greentide. Not the original, but he rerolled Greentide into Blueland for some reason a few years ago.

Vurkanan rings a bell but I can't remember much else other than just the name.

I have to agree zombies in public areas really really piss me off! So stupid to go afk on the dais when people pick boxes there and you can get killed while "sleeping". Just go to a table and stop bitching about people dragging you off!

No he killed you for being too stupid to leave his group (as you probably joined him after he had disbanded his group) and follow him hunting. The price you pay for being afk. If you were at the keyboard you would have noticed you were in his group and would be like WTF and gone back to town.

No, I walked into the dais and saw his wizard casting blurs on a group, and joined. He did not disband, as he was not casting to the public apparently.

I made an assumption.. one that was incorrect.

After I had joined, I went to the kitchen cause dinner was ready.

I came back, and was dead.

That's not possible unless he has every name on a match, right?

How is going AFK in a rest area annoying? I dont get it. People cant be in front of there computers all the time. Some of us do eat, piss, and have a life outside GS4. A) Only 1 of the tasks you listed takes 5 minutes or less.

2) Group closed is really really hard to type.

*) It's not real hard to hide, move to a secluded room, especially in Illistim, or just quit for the 5 minutes because it adds all of 20 seconds, maybe, to your day by having to log back in.

Possibly... But if someone is in my group when I go off to hunt it really pisses me off especially when they are AFK.

This is because I need to get a familiar, find a target on the dais, open a gate, possibly more than one attempt and possibly get injured trying to open said gate, and then cast haste and ice patch trying to drag them to the dais, wait for mana and then go off and hunt.

So that is at least 70 mana wasted.

I guess the way I look at it is... Blueland killed him for doing something not just being afk. If he had just come back and gone afk and not joined his wizards group before zombifiying it would be a non issue. But I'll also admit that I zone out on the dais all the time because its my prefer place to rest when I'm in EN.

But when you zone out you are smart enough to have your group closed and not join someone before you close your group at least.

I never had a single issue being AFK the entire time I did play. Find a node, equip the shield and/or weapon, check the stance, close the group, and hide.

No quiet node? Same thing ... quiet room.

I would type quit for anything longer than 10 minutes.

It's pretty simple.

If I was ever killed while being afk, I would never even consider whining about it. It was obviously my fault for being afk.

I once went afk just south of town square and was in hiding. I come back to my computer and I'm in Icemule and had been molested(through ACTs) by Aone and Chadj before being left in a room with the door closed.

It was my fault because I didn't have my group closed even though I was in hiding so as not to draw attention to myself. I just had to laugh it off because I'm sure that's what they were doing. No one to blame but myself.

Here's an exact reaccount of what happened from my end:

join vurk
(goes AFK)
(comes back 10 minutes later to see he is dead. Scrolls up, sees the following)
Blueland removes you from his group
Vurkanaan call winds.
Blueland's group walks away.
I die.


Blueland filled in the blanks with me, to change it to

Chadj gets on the dais
Chadj sits
Chadj joins Vurkanaan
Vurkanaan makes Blueland leader
Blueland leaves dais, Chadj and Vurkanaan in tow (Somehow Chadj got pulled up. Not sure how)
Blueland's script removes Chadj from group (Bullshit)
Vurkanaan call winds.
Bluelands group walks away.
Chadj dies.

Okay. Let's get something clear. This thread was started by Chadj and is about Chadj. When one starts a thread, one takes the risk of getting one's ass handed to them by those who might disagree with the premise presented by the thread.

However, flames directed toward others not involved in the subject of the thread are pretty obviously trolling, especially if insulting those persons from thread to thread, or fighting with those persons from thread to thread, is a common occurance.

If you're beating up on Chadj for the subject of this thread, you're probably not trolling, as that would be on-topic, for the most part. If you're insulting someone else... well, you just might be.

This is actually a multi-national board, in fact, Kranar lives in Canada. I don't bother to "Americanize" people's spelling, I think it goes without saying that those in the UK and Canada will say patronise, colour or realise and that those in the US will likely say patronize, color or realize.

I'm not certain what you can gain by correcting someone's spelling that doesn't need correcting.

But Bratt if you know that you and Nien have some kind of past history just avoid eachother at all costs.

End of story. All things I said here to Chadj were merely in jest and all things I say most the time are to be taken with a pinch of salt.

If he really were to be the kind of person I honestly thought could not take a joke I wouldn't do it, obviously whatever you say to Nien and whatever she says back is going to be taken offensively. So just ignore eachother, end of story.

Also, being British myself I really dislike people correcting the way I spell certain words, having been to school both in the USA and in the UK I sometimes spell one way and sometimes another. That's just the way it is. So for someone to correct the way I spell all I gotta say to them is fuck you, as long as it is spelled correctly in one of the two countries I have lived in then it's none of yer damned business.

I also have a mixed accent, I sometimes Americanise my words and sometimes speak full Cockney and sometimes I sound Posh, am I wrong to do so? No its just the way I am.


Ok back to topic, Chadj I hope you realise that most of what I say is in jest. Yeah you fuck up sometimes but hell! who doesn't!!!!

My correcting her was me being irritated that she jumped on me when I was making a joke. I didn't post at all saying STFU Nien blah blah blah. I have no history with her, I compliment her and even laugh at things she posts. I am not the one who seems bent on being an asshole.

Chadj was wrong, he is a teen cut the boy some slack instead of beating him into the ground. Well beat him a wee bit but don't leave marks.

Sorry but from the way you corrected her spelling it sure didn't sound like you were merely trying to crack jokes etc.

Also as I said before Nien will take the piss out of anyone and anything, as for myself, I will probably laugh at most of the things she takes the piss out of. I don't hear you chime up when she's taking the piss out of another Canadian who posts here and whose name I shall not mention for fear he will take over this thread and make it his own.

Yeah, sure, he is a teen, so is Bobmuhthol yet I rip the piss out of him at every opportunity and most the people on psinet can vouch for that.

Then again Warclaidhm is also a teen..... I don't hear about too many people cutting him some slack.
