Though once a gilded masterwork, this armor is now rimmed with verdant moss as if abandoned in a damp, dark chamber for years. Some of the moss has bloomed with spicate white florets that jut outward like hoarfrost. Its plates are patinated from rainstorms and warfare, the color giving way to the autumn-and-winter shades of a beautiful, ancient verdigris. Altogether, its appearance brings to mind a haunted armor in some storybook frozen fortress, a rusted, rimed sentinel, warden to a legendary treasure. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

From afar, this lance appears to be covered in the scars of many battles. Upon closer examination, these scars are in fact thousands of names engraved in archaic script. In some places, only a word is given: knight here; wizard there; elsewhere the names of beasts, both wild and mythical. This grim chronicle is so dense that some names are carved over others, with earlier ones half-obliterated from countless polishes, forming a palimpsest of the dead.
