Hey, I need to get rid of my old account. What info should I provide here? How do I get information about my gear? I suspect I have some very valuable armor on a ranger of mine, but I'm not sure how to verify.

Otherwise there doesn't seem to be anything extra-special. It's pretty much exclusively old gear and characters.

The equipment I have that might be worth something is this:

You carefully inspect your arctic leather.

Your careful inspection of some arctic leather allows you to conclude that it is soft leather armor that covers the torso, arms, legs, neck, and head.

You determine that you could wear the leather around your chest. The leather appears to serve some purpose.

It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of leather.

How would I verify? I have no more contacts in the game, haven't played in a very long time.

You mind if I ask what your sorc is doing with that locksmith training? I'm sure it's an obvious thing but I've not been back in years..

He is pretty self-sufficient for a sorc from what I remember of playing him years ago. He would hunt and then pick his own boxes for the most part. Some boxes would give him trouble, but I had a rogue at the time to handle the tough ones.

He could do better as a pure sorc, for sure, but he was really fun to play this way.

The account is active and I'm going to get the equipment sung to ASAP.

Sorry folks, I moved cross-country and finally got settled in. I'll be active on here again now that life has chilled out... although I'm expecting a daughter any day, so I'd like to get this squared away before that happens if possible. I've probably spent $500 on just bills since I reactivated the account :P

Hey folks, before I post the for-sale thread, what is involved in an account takeover?

I recall in the past I sold some items and used paypal, but ended up having it refunded out of my account fraudulently. I delivered the item (a sword of some kind back in 2004-ish worth about $1400) after receiving payment, then they ended up claiming the account was used by an unauthorized person or something.

How would I protect myself against that as a seller? I hate to ask for someone to use the gift option. I'd rather do it legitimately and give the buyer some protection as well. What alternatives do I have?
