Hair Alter Advice?

Hey, I'd LOVE some help with a pixie cut alter (please please please)! I'm looking for something that comes off more as having been sheared off for practicality's sake rather than "cute" or overly styled.

You didn't give much info like colour, so I just winged it. It's just basic so you can just tweak it from there.

She has short tousled ebon black hair with side swept bangs.

Not so much just lopped off hastily as cut short to be utilitarian, rather than for style. I wish I could explain it better-- I'd probably be able to come up with the alter myself then! I don't really want it to be read as stylish or even particularly feminine... more like, "oh, she cut her hair so it wouldn't be flopping around in her face when she kicks the crap out of shit." ;)

Also, she's a darkie, so white in color maybe?

I'm not sure there is a way to convey in a hair alter that its been cut to keep it out of the way other than just having it short.

She has cropped ivory white hair smartly shaved from temple to nape.

How about: "She has close-cropped sleek platinum blond hair" I don't know about a good quirk...

Granted, I guess you could have longer hair done in a practical fashion. Maybe like "She has sleek platinum blond hair sternly tied into a tight braid" (or "tied into a tight bun at the nape of her neck")? Women in the military definitely tend to end up with low buns more often than not, it's a relatively practical hairstyle.


edit to add: Oh, and you don't have to go with "platinum blond", but if you want a light hair colour which doesn't suggest being old, it's probably a bit better than "white".

Ok, so with all the suggestions this is what I came up with. Do y'all think it works? Or is it against rules or something? I don't really know how feature stuff works that well.

She has close-cropped, sleek platinum hair roughly shaven from the temple to the nape, the longer top securely tucked behind her ears.
