Jastio and I

[Jastio]

Alright, this is the player of Jastio, and i just wanna say one thing.. If you truely think i'm a snert in RL thats a serious mistake, Maybe i got like ADD or somthing, but its not like i'm him or he is me. Jastio is a character I made up bout 5 years ago, I've played him constantly the same way i play him today. I was locked out for 2 years, and i have had my share of decays, and lost items, as punishment for being who i am. But i have also gotten alot of respect from people i didn't think noticed what i was doing. I try to enjoy the game to the point where i'm having fun, and everyone around me is either participating or enjoying watching. I hope that this explains more less about why i play, and who i really am. Please let me know if i am really a snert, on ways to change up what i'm doing wrong to put out that vibe.. I also would like a new list of verbs if somone could find that for me, i haven't really looked but damn all my verbs are old school.. Well, i'd love to hear any reply about me as Jastio..

I don't hate you, the player, I don't know you. I do however hate Jastio, the character, I have seen nothing from him that resembles constructive or consistant rp. I don't mind thieves, hell I have one, and I am very tolerant of being stolen from. If you can train in it use it. I don't like the fact that you run away, deny when your obviously caught, go back on your word, and as soon as you are accused you go into this OOC flame mode that involves the dilect of a pissed off hormone raging 14 yr old. Perfect example... look at 90% of the time you're on the dais. You bitched and bitched, and threatend to get your weapon back, me I would have trash canned it or tempered it real fast. You realized that threatening wouldn't work so you start asking nice, get it back, and revert to idiot asshole mode.

This has been an ongoing thing with you that I have noticed with this character in EN. A good thief that roleplays I will lose silvers and roleplay with all day with a smile on my face. This Jastio person I get no joy from even seeing and it's a seething kind of hate because I know that you will do nothing to make my time in GS more enjoyable.

I stated in another post that I actually enjoy people that are assholes if it's done right, you need work. I should bring my rogue over the mountains. Spend time with him and learn how to stalk, steal, and piss people off in a manner that might get you some looks and interaction but won't get you the OOC violence from others (like I'm guilty of at times) Hell you might get killed but the chances of rotting are far far fewer.

I could not agree more. Jastio, you push it too far. When we had our little altercation, I practically begged you to leave Darkbeauti and I alone. I whispered, said it out loud, everything but you wouldn't stop. So I stunned you for 5 min, told you to go away and what do you do? Come right back running your mouth. That's pushing it, don't force people into RP with you; it's not hard identifying who does and does not want to roleplay.

Oh, and BTW....logging to avoid death is seriously against game mechanics. And then im'ing me 10 min later begging me not to kill you is just wrong.

Don't take this personally, like Anticor said I don't know you, the player. But Jastio, I hate him lol. Always pushes it too far. As someone once told me...the best thieves, no one knows about. They are too good to get caught.

OOC, i dont know how i go out of character other then that F word that sliped out after my crossbow was imploded by somone who already had his revenge..

push it to far? i dont know about that.. If i pushed it to far i'd be killin the lot of you that cast at me.. I simply get provoked to hurt somone, and do so, or atleast try as hard as i can..

IM'ing someone who is a complete stranger to you after logging to avoid death to said person is very OOC. My character and your character had a confrontation in game. Then you IM me begging me not to kill you because you are low on deeds?

Yes, you push it to far. When you are harassing someone and they ask you to leave them alone, you need to listen. If someone doesn't want to rp with you, don't shove it down their throat. Move on to someone else who wants to rp. Your 'roleplay' can ruin other peoples gaming fun.

The only reason you don't kill all the people that cast at you is because you are way to young. I mean, you must have some incredible balls to start trouble with people 100 levels above you. Then you whine when they stun/web you.

Okay, that one time i sliped up, but let me explain the circumstance's at that point. I came to the nations to hunt, as I am there for now, my last train i decayed 8 times, if i woulda died, it woulda been my 9th cause i had no deed, and i was scared of loosing my character. I dont want to even take the chance, somwhere i dont know where but years ago i heard that if you decay 10 times in one training, you go demonic, i didn't wanna risk anything stupid...

As for his AIM name i tracked it down, so i could ask.. Its not hard really.

If you decay 8+ times a train and you are being snuffed out all the time then you must not be that concerned about losing the character. You'd either move to a location where folks would rescue/raise you, or you would stop doing whatever it is that makes people kill you/leave you.

YES YES YES! Here you are, decayed 8 or 9 times already. Then you start trouble with 2 character near 100 trains older than you. You refuse to stop after being asked repeatedly. Umm....like I tell my kids. If it hurts, DON'T DO IT.

Hey Jastio. If that's how you want to RP your character, so be it. Just don't ruin other peoples fun ok. There are plenty of other people out there who RP (or maybe it comes naturally) an asshole. Go play with them.

I don't know you as a person, but from Jastio's behavior in the game, I'm going to go ahead and make the assumption that you, the player, are under 20 years of age.

Anyone who is over 20 years old and exhibits the kind of behavior Jastio does in the game obviously needs to grow up.

For starters, if you're going to start shit with people, you need to be ready to take it, too, because no one likes a person who can dish it out and not take it.

You have been run out of every single town, pretty much, as well as having been on the verge of going demonic several times, yet you still live on less than ten deeds. I don't know if you do that purposefully so that there's a limit to what people can do to you (i.e. when you get to 0 deeds, you can start crying about how you'll go demonic so people will leave you alone), or if you're really just not smart enough to start stocking up on deeds.

The way you steal sucks and gives every other person who steals a bad name. If you get caught, own up to it -- don't insult your mark and deny stealing. I'm not saying that's not a valid RP choice, but after a point, you turn into Drizzsdt and denying you did it when you were caught only serves to anger people more because you're basically belittling their intelligence.

I also think it's a shame you dig and dig yourself into a hole, and when someone else starts to fill it in for you, you immediately go into OOC mode and start whining to the GMs. Why can you just not live with the consequences of your actions? If you're going to behave like a complete jackass and steal from everyone, and just generally be really annoying, that's your RP choice. However, since that's your choice, you also have to accept the consequences of your actions.

The fact that you refuse to accept the consequences of your actions and instead start whining and crying to the GMs like a little baby... that is just one part of what makes dealing with you completely pointless and frustrating.

So let me get this straight. You're a thief. You rob. You bug people WAY older and stronger than you. You run away. You get caught. You die. A lot. You lose many deeds. You get down to 0. Screw with people some more. Cry because you may go demonic. Rinse and repeat.

One of these days someone is not going to care whether you go demonic or not and kill you, and then where will you be? You reap what you sow my dear boy. Just because YOU like how you roleplay and SOME may like it doesn't mean it's acceptable by everyone. Someone doesn't like it, move on. If you piss off enough people, your days will be numbered.

One thing I will say... as a player of a thief/rogue/pain in the ass... is that it is very much in character for a thief to lie, cheat, steal, deny, hide, run, etc...

That is the essence of many thieves. It's not out of character to do so.

I personally don't have a problem with Jastio. I'm a very tolerant person normally. When I first roleplayed with Jastio though.. I tried to tell him on Teras that it's just bad for 'business' to steal from folks there. He tried to steal from me, so I quickly dispatched his right hand. I dragged him out of town and killed him. While he was laying there we talked and I can understand where he comes from. His 'goal' if you will is to be a notorious thief. He wants to be well known as such and doesn't care too much about deeds.

Hmm... seems to me he's become quite well known. I would say even.. goal met.

Now.. dropping the F-bomb in game, crying when you don't have your way, IMing someone and begging them not to let you rot are all things I dislike about you - the player. I think if you want to be a pain in the ass and a well known thief.. then so be it. Get tons of deeds... use crappy equipment so if you lose it.. no big deal.

You can't have it both ways Jastio... either you play by the roleplay you have selected and take your lumps like a man.. or stop playing the character and find a new one.

Well, I've had a little interaction with Jastio. Jastio started telling folks to attack my character, so I webbed him. Then he says this to me,

Jastio: What do you think you are doing?
Me: Being merciful?
Jastio: I thought I told you a year ago not to cast at me and that I did not want any interaction with you.

Now, at this point, I'd had no prior interaction with Jastio ever, but I had heard he was a twit. I ignored his sissy warning, and told him to watch his mouth in the future.

The funny thing is, that about 5 seconds after the webs fall off (and after he has told me he wants no interaction) I see a blue crystal disentigrate in the shadows. Now, I have a little bit of brawling training, so I was standing there empty handed because I knew the dolt thought he had a free shot on me. So I just let him swing, and killed him on the spot.

So here is where I thought you went wrong, Jastio:
1. Inciting violence with your words, and then IMMEDIATELY falling back on warning people with veiled references to GM's, etc. It's a totally pussy move, pardon my french.
2. Telling me that you wanted no more interaction, which I would have respected provided you didn't antagonize me, and then using that respite to attempt to kill me.

I have no problem with a character that wants to incite violence or conflict, put please don't be a bitch about it. Don't antagonize/steal from other characters and then REPORT when they hand you your ass.

Now, all that being said, I don't really have a problem with Jastio. You just need to remember to keep conflicts in character. Throw back an in-character response instead of 3rd grade comebacks or empty threats of GM intervention.
