I'm trying to get out of RR and been stuck for the past 5 hours. The amusement has long past and now it's rage and frustration! It's been decades so I think I'm given a pass, parked this guy here for some odd reason or another. Help?

You need to get a ticket in The Top of the Eye in the north part of town. Percy I think is the guys name. Then go back beneath the bridge when they announce the cutter (or wait there so you don't miss it). You don't have a ton of time from announcement until when they leave.

Thanks guys. I would stay in RR but I think for now I need some people interaction so I'm heading to the big city (King's Landing) and will try to join some organization; this is my RP character actually and would like to mingle in the Landing's high society!

Where exactly under the bridge do you need to be? I was standing there when they made the announcement and didn't see the ship. I have found a few rooms that are [River's Rest, Underbridge]

They should make it that with enough swimming you can just swim the river across.

Same with the Locksmehr river.

Yep, would be nice. Any clue as to the correct room?

Are you getting into the barrel? I seem to recall it just being on the docks, typing 'go barrel' and waiting.

RR is like 100 miles south of Solhaven geographically.

Find the fish. Touch the fish. Know what the fish knows. Go where the fish goes.

I didn't need the barrel to get here, I don't see any barrels for the return. All I had to do was GO GANGPLANK when the ship arrived and was taking on passengers. I have checked all 3 rooms when the announcement was made that I have found that read [River's Rest, Underbridge]. I have searched and sensed in each of the three rooms and tried a myriad of other verbs. And yes, I have my 'ticket' in hand.

Find the drawbridge guard then follow the path, you will know you are in the right room when you see the fish, touch the fish, all will be understood at that point. If you are using lich you can just use ;go2 to get where you want to go, if you type ;go2 getsilvers=on then it will automatically go to the bank and do what needs to be done to get you out of there. The guard in the Landing is room 420 just as a reference point to run to.
The room with the fish to wait for the cutter is 18677.

From another topic with the same question:
Ayep. First step is to go into the Stone Eye tavern, look for Percy. Ask him about a ticket. He'll give you a price. Get the amount he asks for in COIN and ask him about a ticket again. He'll give you some odd little piece of paper. Read it, the message changes with each one. Next, go to the drawbridge at the south of town. Go weeds from the town side of the drawbridge. The cutter docks there. Touch the cast iron fish to tell if it's nearby or at Solhaven.
The ship has a fairly regular cycle. It will leave Solhaven, arrive at River's Rest (if not accosted by the Imperial Navy), let passengers disembark, then hide up the river for a few minutes. It then comes back, picks up passengers, and then departs for Solhaven. It works the same way in Solhaven, too. The only changes to this routine are when the Imperial Navy chases it, in which case you will be dropped off on south beach, west of the caravansary.

Oh, here is a little tip about the tickets for the Rest too, if you ever plan on going back, buy a ticket from Percy now, an extra one, they are half the cost when purchased in the Rest as when purchased in Solhaven.

An actual boat ride like the one to Teras is ok, not so much the semi-hidden, mostly retarded one that's currently in place.

Well, I mean, it is a "lawless" island that is blockaded by the Imperial navy so... Yeah no, that is how it should be. You can always chronomage.

Hotel RR, you can come anytime you like but you can never leave...<guitar solo>
I was thinking a cool minecart ride would be a very fast room to room rushed movement with random text like boulders and sharp turns and low hanging ceiling... where you have to input duck, lean left/right, jump etc. really fast to avoid getting killed, like a sort of a text based 'temple run' thing. Also, the text wording will be randomized every x random days to screw up scripters. Heh, kinda evil, but doubt the GMs have time to develop something like this!
P.S. Then when you fail the mine ride checks, carrion lobster scavenger men will loot your corpse and steal anything metallic on your person as you lay broken on the bottom of the mine's chasm floor.

There is a waterslide thing like that outside landing. Very, very old. I don't think it'll kill you though.

I'm almost positive it used to. If you missed a stalagmite or whatever it would give you a head wound, and if you died eventually your body would be spit outside.

Yeah it could give you bleeders, but I don't think it would outright kill you. Theres a bunch of fun old things in the game. The pipe from the Sewers into the Nymph mud pool for example.

Heh now I see why I was carrying so many promissory notes around for such low amounts.

Except for the odd character left from years ago, does anyone actually live or hunt in RR these days? Personally I haven't been there since the boot was around.

Rivers Rest has an ebb and flow about it, periods where there is kind of a bustling little community and other times it is a ghost town.
There are some real advantages though, my wizard was there from like 30 to 60 hunting undead because there are so many there. It is a great way to store up favor for the more bleak levels from 60-80. The loot tends to be much better because there are not nearly so many people hunting there; but be prepared to rot if you die because there are not a lot of people to help you out if you fall.
I just brought my level 27 cleric back there to raise someone and it was the 1st time I had been kicked off the cutter on the way over and ended up back in Solhaven, that sort of pissed me off, but such is the way of the Rest.
