Jamus..I need help..

I downloaded the new verison of PsiNet, but I can't get it to work.

For anyone else that might know what to do, on the original Psinet, whenever I tried it on the Desktop entry, the psinet window popped up, saying it is working "Functionally."

After that, nothing happens. The wizard does not come up.

Before (before this new verison) I had to manually jump-start it. I got out the simu folder, and the temppsi folder, and dragged the temppsi folder into the wizard launcher folder, starting Psinet.

Now, that won't work. I have a Windows '98 NT.

Anyone know what the problem is?

You may want to also figure out if you have 98 or NT. Unless you have a dual boot machine with both installed, 98 NT doesn't exist.

I have windows 2k at work - and when my PC crashes, the BSOD shows up for about 0.5 sec and then the computer shuts down.

I think they're just trying to hide the BSOD.

I followed the instructions. I re-installed Stromfront, AND the wizard, and then tried it from both on the web entry, and desktop entry. Can't even put the temppsi folder into the launcher one to make it work.

Also, Jamus won't reply to my emails, and he blocked me on AIM, as he thought I thought he was a stalker. (Which I didn't. Oh well)


Before he did block me from AIM Though, he showed me how to start it with dragging the temppsi folder into the launcher. Before he blocked me, he was like "Feel free to send me any emails problems with psinet if you have any" so I did, and he never responded. Sent him 2+ emails.

Of course, this was before the new update. He probably did it just to get me off of it. :Sigh:

Also, (This might be the problem), I get this message when downloading the stromfrount:

No they're not!!

On a serious note, you really do need to get another operating system. Of all operating systems, NT and ME are the worst. Get another one pronto.

Yes because Brian took the time to find out what operating system you have, and configured the PsiNet coding to work against your system, regardless of how it will affect other people, ALL to get you off it. Yeah, he's that good. :rolleyes:

FYI The colors that go all crazy is VGA mode it's kind of like safe mode.

And just so you know. My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like it's better than yours, damn right it's better than yours. I could teach you but I'd have to charge.

Warclaid, Warclaid, Warclaid.. tsk tsk.. no Jamus didnt create a new version to get rid of you. I have '98 on my computer at home and it works fine.. but it seems not to be working here on my sisters computer (getting some wierd windsock and socket error).
And as for IMing Jamus.. I did so 4 times in almost as many days and have not recieved a reply. However I figure he is either afk or busy. Now reread all the other threads on this subject and try again to fix it yourself.
