View Full Version : Dented, dirty, stained, etc items for a drunken Dwarf

I've started a Dwarf monk with an affinity for the bottle, and I'm looking for silly items to help him roleplay. Stuff like a dented bucket to wear on his head, a scripted flask or other container for alcohol, ale-stained stuff, or anything else you think would be fun. He's prone to threatening others if they cross him, falling on his face, stumbling about. You know the deal.

I have no idea who currently owns it but there is a wooden keg container that's worn on the back.

That sounds perfect and incredible. I'll keep it in mind for searching through player shops every few days!

Even if you can't find it you can always make one via a GM alteration.

Look around for "a battered tin tip cup." It's an item you can place on the ground that no one else can pick up, but they can put small items in it. Great RP prop. Your dwarf can beg for beer money -- or extort it by threatening to sing until people pay up.

How do alterations work, nowadays? I just came back from an 8 year hiatus, and back then you had to get super lucky by getting into line quickly when an altering merchant randomly showed up. I think in the 10 years (off and on) that I played, I only ran into one.

An iron-banded wooden keg with wide leather shoulder straps. Has a removable cover. I forget who I sold it to but I'll look through my notes later.

Merchants for alteration work pop up randomly or at scheduled events. Sometime's they're raffled, sometimes they have lists that you have to join, sometimes it's room order. You can also buy an alteration via premium points.

Ah, so not much has changed. I'm pretty proud of my previous alter, for my quirky little gnome sorcerer: "a spiraling tapered faewood runestaff capped with a huge prancing doughnut." I remember the room gave me quite the eye roll when I got that one done.
