I'm assuming ethereal armor can be further padded, enchanted, flared and ensorcelled?

It's a script. Does not impact any other aspect of the armor.

Wow, so I guess in theory I can get Voln armor etherealized as well?

Personally, I love the design of the Ethereal Armor Script, for one key reason:
You can unlock it at your own pace, without relying on a GM.

I run Reim with about 4 characters a day... so while the high watermarks are 500k for adding the script and 1m for unlocking padding flares (I think... been a while since I've looked at the camp), while hitting those high watermarks on two characters, I'll be able to grind out the additional unlock waivers in the interim on my other characters to get it near instantly to fully unlocked on the DS/fluff side.
