The time has come!

So, I'm tired of my lungs going to me and yelling, "FUCKING PWNED!!!!!!!!1111111". This means, that from this time onward, I am so quitting smoking. Cold turkey, no patch, no gum, no smokes. I think I can do this..

Now.. where did I leave that ashtray full of half smoked cigarettes.

I just quit not too long ago, pretty easy if you just say fuk it and don't do it.

My advice is to keep a half a pack of cigs around, it is the reason I think I actually quit. When I tried to quit before I had this constant URGE to go buy another fukin pack because I had none. Made it hard. I now have a 3 month old stale half pack sitting on my bathroom counter that I look at everyday.

When I quit, I just brushed my teeth every time I wanted to smoke and took deep breaths, I desmoked the house (ie: aired it out for days, cleaned anything smoke could stick to) and it worked out great.

If I, with my addictive personality and need to constantly be doing *something* can manage, you can!

I have an addictive personality disorder too. I only smoke about a pack a day, do chaw, eat, snort, lick and ingest nicotine. Can we be friends?

I quit smoking for good in August of 2003. Cold Turkey. I had been smoking since I was 16 years old (excluding 2 9 month breaks). But anyway, it was tough...but now that I think about it, I did have a half pack of smokes in my closet and threw them away 6 months later.

Yeah, this is my first time quitting smoking on my own. The first time I actually quit was when I was forced to in basic training. I was all like, "Fuck you Drill Sergeants, you can't make me quit!" and the first thing I buy when I got out was a pack of cigarettes. Fuck it though, as long as I don't have any in my house, then I'll do it. If I do, I'll be all like, "Well, I might as well just finish this pack and not waste the money."

:lol: I agree, keep the rest of your last pack around as a "security blanket". I quit about 2 years ago and I still have the last cigs of my last pack somewhere in my freezer. Knowing they are there helps me NOT buy a new pack. :rolleyes:

It took me getting bronchitis every fucking year to finally buckle down a quit. I've never felt better. :

It took me finishing a run and feeling like the fucking Grim Reaper had his hand on my shoulder the whole entire time. That and the fact that all I smell is cigarettes when I light up. Wastes the scent of my fantastically over expensive cologne.

I did that...quit but only smoked 1 cig a week when I got together with my cousin after our dance class. I STILL got bronchitis and decided it wasn't worth it. Bronchitis sucks ass. :flamed:

Okay, I'll be honest.

The reason I'm quitting smoking is because the Stoner's Realm are all anti-smoking and I really want to fit in. Maybe one day... le sigh

I have to admit, I LOVE SMOKING!.. never had a true desire to quit. It was also very hard to do because everyone in my enviroment at work and home smoke so I was always around it.

Happy to say though, from two weekends ago.. I QUIT!.. had actually two cigarettes since that day and only because I went out drinking one night.

I must admit, feels pretty damn good!

When I quit, I had to quit drinking too. Last drink I had was 2 years ago on new years. I can't stand the taste of most alcohol and the familiar taste of a Marlboro covered it up.

I've bought one pack in the last 3 years, and I blame my friend Claudia!

Congrats Arkans, stick to it. I quit for a year, some stuff happened in my life that put alot of stress on me and the old habit was easy to pick up again. So beware!

Okay, like seriously, WTF?~?!??!?!


So, I decide to quit smoking. So far, I've done well. Not a single smokeroo since I announced it. Fantastic, it's been like a bit over 24 hours. Really, though.. WTF?!??!?!

1. I decided to quit the day before I made the post. Unfortunately, that got delayed because I found an unopened back of Marlboro Lights just laying by my car at the gas station, so decided to smoke them.

2. Today, at work, I go out with one of the guys from down stairs for his smoke break ( I don't give a rat's dick if people smoke around me) and he doesn't see me smoking. I don't feel the need to go up to everyone and go like, "OMFG I KWIT", so I guess he assumed I had none. What does he do? Finishes his, says.. "Damn, you must be out, don't worry, you gave me pleanty before" and tosses me his pack. Basically a full pack and then walks into the building.

Seriously, WTF?!?!??!?!? IS THIS A SIGN FROM GOD!?!?!??!
