I'm lookin for someone generous enough to teach me a bit about scripting. I know basic HTML and BASIC so it shouldn't be too hard to learn I just need someone to teach me instead of reading it, so I can learn for different applications and not just a general knowledge of the scripting language.

I'm planning on publishing a small scripting guide for advance scripting use.

Caels posted a scripting guide awhile back for SIMU's wizard; I have attached in RTF format.

Also, if you want to do real scripting, I recommend getting an outside scripting engine (other than the wizard). The sheer number of match statements you have to create with that program will drive you insane. Its lack of looping features also makes it incredibly limited from a standpoint of what you can do with it.

Kranar has created his own engine here -- it's called UltraTech Scripting Engine (USE). It's basically a C++ platform IMO (from what I've seen), but if you have some experience in programming, it shouldn't be that difficult to pick up the programming aspect.

I'm still working on how to get it to find the scripts on my computer to run them however. Good luck.
