I find myself defaulting to "racial" adjectives a lot when designing alters. While fantasy movies/games have programmed onto our minds what "an elven sword" or "a dwarven axe" might look like, enough for us to read it and conjure up our own image of what that weapon might look like, the usage gets tired after awhile. And it isn't applicable to all weapons, I feel. What differentiates an elven flamberge or maul from a human or dwarven one?
Then there are the other recycled adjectives. A massive, elegant, gleaming, razor-edged, wickedly-sharp, penis of doom.
What are some other adjectives you've used? Maybe we can list some uncommon ones that can be a quick reference to people trying to design their alters.
