This will go once, twice, sold. Pickup in Landing or FWI. Not entertaining buy-out offers at this time. Silvers only, if you can help it. Thanks and happy bidding!
a nondescript steel artifact (pin-worn)
Greater Chrism Holder - auto-applies the chrism rather than dropping it on the ground when you LOOK at it when dead, which apparently reduces breakage chance (25% chance chrism can be used again afterwards)
This one was one of the few given out at EG, so it is just the chrism holder and does not have the enhancive benefits of some of the few others given out at Coraesine Field runs. Judging by the wiki, there could be as few as 10 total of these, depending how many of them are like this one and were given out at EG without the enhancives. (From what I remember, there was only one other given out at the EG run I got this at.)
From the wiki (https://gswiki.play.net/Chrism_holder):
"Greater chrism holders (GCHs) were introduced at Ebon Gate 2012 and automatically chrism the wearer when LOOKed at. Thus, the wearer will receive the full benefit of a chrism without the need for a cleric raise, and there is no chance of chrism breakage from hitting the ground."
You analyze your steel artifact and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.
The creator has also provided the following information:
This steel artifact is designed to hold a special kind of gem. It can be altered, but should remain something intended for holding a gem. The show description also will include the status of the steel artifact's bezel setting. Sing to it for details.
You get no sense of whether or not the artifact may be further lightened.
Loresong (see last verse for special abilities):
As your song flows into steel artifact, your vision fades into darkness. When the darkness is lifted, you find yourself laying still on the ground. You try to move, but your physical actions are stopped. Panic sets in just as your verse ends, causing your vision to end.
As you continue your song, your vision clouds once again. This time, you find yourself hovering over your body. You are a corpse, a fatal wound having ended your life. You notice you are wearing a nondescript steel artifact, which radiates an iridescent glow. Moments later, the song's verse ends.
Your song continues and you once again find yourself floating above your body. The steel artifact fascinates you as you stare at a chrism gem nestled into its bezel. A sudden overwhelming sensation floods your spectral form as if you could possibly interact with the artifact. As the sensation fades, so does the vision.
Before the words fully escape your mouth, you are returned to the song's visions. The iridescent glow seems to be the source of the empowering sensation. You feel that if you look at the steel artifact long enough, you could cause the aura of holy magic to fade and crack open the gem resting within the bezel of the artifact, releasing the contents on your corpse. There might even be a chance to replenish the gem to work again. Your vision ends abruptly as your song draws to a close.
