How much weight can an exposed stud hold?

I have an unfinished garage so the studs are exposed, no drywall in other words.

I currently have a 30ish pound ladder hanging from two studs but I'm going to buy another ladder soon here that will weigh about 60 pounds, for a total of 100 pounds spanning across two of these exposed studs.

I'm thinking this should be absolutely no problem at all but just curious what others think before I go ahead and do it and wake up one day to find my garage on top of my car.

Unless you have some serious water damage or termites, your presumably 2x4 studs will have no problem holding up 100lbs.
