That was like, only 2 days of not checking it! Is there any way to stop this other than changing my e-mail? most of them were wanting to make my penis bigger, give me $71,000.00 or give me a new TV...

Help?

even when I open my e-mail, the AOL e-mail box is offering to help me with a mortgage, before I delete all my mortgage e-mails. Unfortunately I cannot delete the annoying mortgage jpegs that no spam-filter could block.

Use Thunderbird instead of Outlook express.
It is so easy to identify something as junk mail and then every time something similar comes through....

I'll trade you these mortgage spams for penis enhancer spams, I need some variety in my life :sniffle:

Yep. Definately for him. I mean, his dinky is hidden within the depths of his scaly skin, what more could he ask for than turning an inny into an outie for the ladies, c'mon.

Oh... I get plenty of those too... Out of the over 400 emails, about 40 of those were wanting to mortgage the house I *don't* own.

Thank you for the advice, I'll try it!

I found on AOL that just blocking all emails with pictures and/or attachments makes a HUGE difference. Any time I'm going to go away for a week or more, I block all incoming email on AOL except for names that are already in my address book (my parents, since they are the ones that fuss most about it).

I also have a hotmail account, which I use more often, and a gmail account which to this day has never gotten spam (probably because I haven't had it long enough) but also because I keep it totally secret (only about 6 of my friends know it).

And then I have my university account which I use to comminicate with my professors. I check gmail, and ucl mail once a day, and aol once a week. I check hotmail when I'm logged into MSN and it tells me if I have something new to check.

in general:
AOL = ordering things from amazon.com, ebay, subscribing to stupid newletters that I don't read anyway, parents
hotmail = friends, game related stuff
gmail = friends
ucl = school stuff

I wonder if I'll ever move up to 5 email addresses...or I could just consolidate everything into Gmail.

Anyways, thats how I do it.
