I havent browsed the official boards much on this ... a bit too cluttered, anyhow do we have a list of the spell hinderance vs armor for the paladin circle? And also curious what armor those with Paladins are aiming for?

Hmm, even crappier than expected! I swear it was a table when i started! Anyways, i'll be wearing full plate with my paladin by about 50, or so my plan seems.

Appreciate it, helped a lot. And forgive my ignorance Ive never dealt with magic casters above double or scale and the such but how many armor ranks are you looking at to be in plate by 50?

Just a basic outline of my armor use (PLEASE dont take this to heart, im probably more ignorarnt than anyone else on this matter).

I 2.5x armor so i was in brig as soon as i got to 10, probably could've pulled it off no problem at 8.

I'm going to stay in brig until i turn 26 at which point i will switch to metal breastplate to give me a -18 CvA and with my agi and dex bonus, keep a 5 second swing. I dont care about hindrance as much since im a purely physical pally. I'll remove my armor to spell up before hunting and wear it to swing, etc. Around 45-50 i'll try plate with about 120-125 ranks to minimize hindrance (15-20%?) and swing RT stays at 5 with minimal pentaly for CMANs

*Edited because CvA != AvD

Ahh I see. Im pondering converting my 57 when/if the option ever shows up, I figure he should be able to wear Haub at 2x armor by then with minimal hinderances, I might try metal BP at most but I really want to be able to cast if the need arises.

At 57 if you were to 2x armor you'd have 118 ranks, which is almost enough to wear plate with minimal hindrance, if you just want MBP i believe it's... 90 ranks, for you to think on.

150 ranks for Paladin circle, sans some person on the official boards. But I couldn't tell you how accurate that is.

It is 150 ranks for paladin circle. 290, though, for minor spirit.

290 to get it to what %?

QRS sucks.

Bobmuhthol

Yeah QRS is conflicting..

.qrs armor shows 21%
.qrs armor1 shows 290 ranks

290 ranks = 390 bonus

Reverse the formula for hinderance from Bonus = 20 * Percent - 10 to Percent = (Bonus + 10) / 20. 390 + 10 = 400 / 20 = 20.

This is why I regret never showing up for Algebra.

If you train to 150 ranks in armor your paladin spell hinderance will be 13% in full plate. Get yourself 11 ranks of summoning and you cast 1603 and your minor spirit hinderance in that plate will be 12%. I use it often and hunt with 117 when needed.

There's one way post cap warrior out there who can cast 117 in full plate with minimum hinderance. Cracks me up.
