Heya. I'm looking for some ideas in regards to management sim type games.
The basic function in some way shape or form of these games as you know if you play them boils down to Click button->Set Options->Wait->Finished product. In management sims where you make something, that is. I'm looking for some ideas to spice up the "wait" portion. A simple, optional minigame, that is to say. I won't pay you, as this project is mostly just for fun, but if you have a good idea, I'll credit you.
Most of the game is structured around minigames as it is, mostly throwbacks from classic games (Oregon Trail, Excite Bike, Zelda, and Zork type games all have minigames so far for various things). What I'm looking for now is an optional minigame idea that can be used -every- time a player creates an item. So it needs to be simple, and not something that'll get old fast. Thank ya for the help.
What'cha got?

I heard you can get tons of information here, without someone hurting your feelings:

Umm, foundation building with Tetris.
Level of building direct correlation on the level of Tetris being played. People who complete it get a "bonus" to the building.

That's a good idea. Not for this particular one I'm looking for, but in general. I might end up putting that in. Thankya. On another note, holy hell, Dees Nuts! How the hell have you been? You still working for ODP in Florida?

Someone asked me to learn to code, and I wanted to get into travel.
So now I help convert from Scriptwriter Plus to multiple GDS systems for a travel agency, still in northern Florida.

I feel like puzzles are the way to go. The advantage there is that you can drop a Sudoku or whatever instantaneously without putting yourself at risk coming back to it later, the way an action/adventure game could. I think for this particular case a Pushori type/clone/knockoff is your best option.

Didn't know what Pushori was so I tried it. That's actually a good idea. I might try to implement something like that somewhere else. I got some advice on the other forum that I took. For this particular system I'm gonna go with gambling. I had been restricting my thinking to classic video game type systems, and it was suggested I open that up to classic board games and basic gambling ideas as well, which seems stupid that I missed it now that it's been suggested.
That system is going to end up having a slot machine since it's a quick no thought kind of thing. Just something to break up the "wait" part with literally anything else. I'm also putting a Hungry Hungry Hippos type deal in another system. I may find a play for something like Pushori too. Thanks!
