So I just got an email from PayPal saying that from here on out only $100 of funds per month will be made accessible instantly. Everything else after that will be held onto for 21 days. Just trying to see what everyone thought about this and if there are some other payment options we can use because I know I don't want to wait 21 days to get funds for something I sold.

Thoughts?

I can't imagine this would be for gifted payments. Would defeat the entire purpose of it.

This should only happen when anomalous activity is detected on an account. Probably just a fraud prevention thing. No way would this apply to all. And, there's always Venmo.

Yeah, makes it hard for you to scam everyone again. Did everyone just forget about that?

I've been completely transparent about what happened and offered to make amends to everyone affected. If you think I'm going to feed into this, you're wrong. Thanks for your input though.

You're right, I didn't even think about that!

Whether or not you've changed or made amends doesn't matter, you had a bad run here during which I'm sure some people you cheated complained to Paypal, and this is the consequence. I'm glad you're better and best wishes that you continue to be.

This is true and I guess I should expect this being that I haven't been back long enough to clear my name. I apologize for coming off like a self-righteous dick.

I didn't get any email like this but then again I've never used paypal to scam anyone.

I got an email from PayPal too, but they just wanted to compliment me for my huge penis.

Known scammer of $2000+, still green rep. Not banned.

Rep system really working well here

This is fairly common for PayPal. This is one way they limit their fraud losses. Especially if you are mostly dealing with gift payments, they have very little incentive to take on any risk and you have minimal leverage against them to force them to give you your money.

This is definitely a case of you get what you pay for, and you're not paying much.

That's real easy to do when most of the people you scammed are gone.
