Hell, I almost want to go blunt and board to keep this ridiculawesome beast, but I could use the silver to get myself some good plate. Plus I love lances. So, here we go:

a mysterious fiery glaes wallshield

8 lbs (very light for glaes--a regular glaes tower shield would weigh 18 lbs), MEDIUM size. You should be able to convert it to tower (or maybe large as well?) with an assist, if you wish.

Show description:
Gazing into the eyes of the mongrel emblazoned on the shield, you blink as your surroundings seem to fade like shadows, and a halo of fire surrounds its bearer. You wince involuntarily as a deep-throated growl escapes from the shield-dog's snarling maw--you quickly close your eyes as you imagine those deadly claws upon you, but all is normal when you open them again. On the reverse of the wallshield, a complex webbing of oiled leather straps and polished buckles forms an intricate arm harness. The straps are arranged in a pattern that appears able to secure a weapon within.

CB: SOLD to Kazner

BO: 30m

You analyze your fiery glaes wallshield and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions.

The creator has also provided the following information:
You get a strong sense that the wallshield can be altered by any merchant as long as the harness" remains in place.

Currently you are able to use DROP, RUB (Get Weapon), TURN, COWER, and PUNCH/KILL/SLAP/BATTER on the fiery glaes wallshield. The size of the weapon that can be stored in the wallshield's harness is dependent on the size of the shield.

You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the fiery glaes wallshield for you.

rub:
You examine your wallshield for scars and imperfections. Flipping it over, you adjust the leather harness attached to the wallshield, taking care to adjust the tangle of straps and buckles to a perfect fit.

put weapon in wall:
You unbuckle the oiled leather harness of your wallshield. Carefully, you slide your star into the webbing, then cinch it tightly.

rub wall:
You carefully work the straps holding your star in place free so that you can remove it.

get star from wal:
You reach into the tangle of straps and buckles on your harness and pull out your drake morning star.

turn wall:
You place your wallshield on the floor and place one foot on it and kneel down. Unlacing the harness, you meticulously inspect the straps and buckles for signs of wear. Carefully, you weave the braided leather into the buckles and cinch it tightly.

punch/kill/slap wall:
You clench your hand into a fist and proceed to bang it up against the front of your fiery glaes wallshield as hard as you can. You succeed in producing only a very slight din, and it feels like you may have broken a finger!

Couldn't that be turned into a tower shield?

Yes, should be. Didn't realize large and tower were different!

I fixed the post, thank you.

No worries. It's an awesome shield.

It probably weighs 8 pounds because it is actually an illegally altered medium shield. I doubt they will "fix" it but it may be in your interest to find out.

Mmmm... No, I think it is likely a shield from before there were shield sizes, so every shield was "medium" whether it was a buckler or a tower shield. If so, they'll fix it if you want to convert it.

There's a shield converter booth somewhere, I think I did mine in Icemule.

Didn't they remove all those a few years ago?

So you could convert one of the old silvery rolaren targes into a tower shield then?

Shield converter is located in the armory in the landing

No, because a targe is a small shield. You could convert it to that.

Added a BO.

Added a BO.

I don't think you get how this works. If no one is bidding, don't add a higher BO. You lower your price or make your MB your BO price.

The shield converters worked based on the particular noun used. I converted my altered medium shield (Aegis) years back, and tower was not an option for that word. I had to go with large shield. I suspect that "wallshield" may not convert to tower, either.

If it has a space as in "wall shield" it should work as a tower shield name.

https://gswiki.play.net/Shield

But if that thread title is correct then would likely need a GM to manually adjust the size as the converter probably won't recognize the noun as valid.

Sounds right to me, Roblar. I can't imagine a GM refuse to change a wallshield into a tower.

in this case I disagree...in part...kind of.
It's only been a day, which is early to start treating it as a stale auction and lower MB or go the extreme and make MB the BO. Supposing there end up being no bids, I would agree adding a BO probably won't bring anybody on, as mb can start to be assumed as probable final bid. Adding a BO can't hurt anything, maybe it was housekeeping more than a sales pitch.

Don't bother, Ososis, he's just trolling.

Fortunately for me, nobody gives a fuck what he says, so it's just free bumps. Thanks, Haldrik!
