A GMPC jumped my warrior while I had taken off my armor to cast from a scroll.
J>rummage case spell 119
GMPC leaps from hiding to attack!
GMPC swings a burnished longblade at you!
AS: +892 vs DS: +175 with AvD: +35 + d100 roll: +18 = +770
... and hits for 133 points of damage!
Quick, powerful slash to your right knee!
You are knocked to the ground!
You are stunned for 5 rounds!
I just sorta stared at that for a while, amazed he didn't die outright.
Best part: with crit randomization, he only got a broken leg. He'll be telling that story for a while.

That's awesome, but I am dying for context

Also, I'm guessing the second hit (if there was one) took the warrior down?

Context is for suckers!

Nope! That's the best part. The rest of the PCs present didn't notice how ridiculous the roll was til later, so they had me unstunned and on my feet pretty quickly. I wasn't in RT, so symbol of restoration + morphing armor had me back in fighting form in no time (albeit with 20 RT to morph the armor).
And then the GM and I spent the next 15 seconds or so essentially whispering "HOLY CRAP DID YOU SEE THAT?" "OMG I DIDN'T SEE YOU TAKE YOUR ARMOR OFF" and whatnot back and forth in OOC rather than fighting.

Isn't that around the cap for HP damage you can take for that bodypart with your redux factored in?

This looks like a falchion based weapon but I'd need to know your approximate redux points and spell ranks, if any, to confirm it. If it is a falchion based weapon then your redux factor is .370 +/- .0011
1. No redux + no armor: 302 raw damage (DF .450 * 670 endroll success margin) + 20 crit damage= 322 total damage
2. Redux + no armor: (190 raw damage + 20 crit damage) - trunc((190 + 20) * .37 redux factor) = 133 total damage - which is the actual damage taken
3. Redux + plate: ((74 raw + 20 crit) - trunc(74 + 20) * .37)) = 60 total damage
In #2 the redux factor ~.37 reduced the falchion Cloth Damage Factor from .450 to .284 with a maximum rank 9 crit.
In #3 the redux factor ~.37 would reduce the falchion Plate Damage Factor from .175 to .111 with a maximum crit rank of 6 [trunc(74 raw damage/11 plate crit divisor].
Redux + Plate would have reduced the damage 262 points (322-60) when compared to a target without armor/redux. It also would have reduced the maximum crit rank from 9 to 6.
Mark
Edited to add:
Redux points total of 530.4 confirms that the weapon used in the above attack is falchion based. To be a bit more precise, it is possible that the reduced weapon damage factor can be either .283 or .284 and that your redux factor range is .3688 to .3715

Yeah, I had all those numbers laying around but didn't bother posting it in-thread. Sorry 'bout that. It's a falchion: the character had a shield, and the only one-handed weapons that do slash and could have 35 AvD vs. cloth were a falchion or a razorpaw.
I also calculated how much I would have taken if he got a +770 with a perfect lance + rank 9 crush crit instead with and without redux, but I don't know what I did with that. I think it was around 230 damage with redux.
