Is it possible points wise as a warrior to viably train in THW and UAC. I love both models for hunting but it would be a tough loss for bonding and berserk etc.

Would also possibly consider UAC and blunted boarding and was curious. Figured if any class would be the most viable to double dip it would be the bomb diggity warriors

A lot of warriors had brawling mixed in with their training because of voln fu. I used to discourage it after it got switched to UAC but with the addition of MoC probably not a bad way to go.

Warrior (at level 86), your current skill bonuses and ranks (including all modifiers) are:
Skill Name | Current Current
| Bonus Ranks
Armor Use..........................| 250 150
Shield Use.........................| 30 6
Combat Maneuvers...................| 276 176
Two-Handed Weapons.................| 276 176
Brawling...........................| 276 176
Ambush.............................| 102 24
Multi Opponent Combat..............| 190 90
Physical Fitness...................| 276 176
Dodging............................| 276 176
Arcane Symbols.....................| 130 35
Magic Item Use.....................| 105 25
Survival...........................| 50 10
Perception.........................| 188 88
Climbing...........................| 188 88
Swimming...........................| 144 44
First Aid..........................| 40 8
Trading............................| 122 31

Works just fine. (Shield training is for 2 ranks of shield bash for defensive purposes.)

I train it mostly for RP purposes. MSTRIKE helps a lot (as Jeril pointed out) and Smite is really helpful from time to time. It's still not as useful as AMBUSH XXX HEAD, though.

Also kind of unrelated but when is a good time to start really working berserk training? And is it beneficial low level to just pump up cman berserk?

Berserk was the first skill I went with when I joined the guild and found it to be incredibly awesome, even early on. No need to spend points in the cman skill.

I usually argue that feint (tricks) should be first and berserk second (and as your diversity ranks). Berserk is a lot more useful once you've got heavier armor and your redux kicks in, and that won't happen till you're close to being able to master 2 skills anyway.

is it stam intensive?

I disagree. I mastered berserk first and was using it right away to tear through grimswarm camps and bandits with ease. Wtricks (for feint) should be a priority as well though.

Yes. My warrior was a giantman though so it wasn't so bad. I imagine your mileage will vary depending on the race.

Do you hunt spelled up? If so, I could see berserk being way more useful.

20 stamina to activate, 10 more every action you take (one every 5 seconds). That means 30 stamina minimum per activation.

Only the initial 20 stamina cost will blow your muscles. The 10 can only bring you down to 0, at which point you stop mstriking and you can manually STOP the berserk. For low level-characters, this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

You can also STOP after 9 rounds of berserk as a master; more when you're lower-skilled IIRC.

If you're just using it to break stuns, it's reasonable; if you're using it to hunt, yes, very.

Grasp of the Grave is the Berserk murderer, btw. If you fight something that summons arms, be very careful. You can easily get into a loop of arm pulls you down, you spend your berserk action standing back up, repeat, all while you get nicked to death.

That could be why, I was heavily trained in MOC. And no spellbot so I generally only had spells when I found someone else to give them to me, so not always.

The MoC function of berserk makes it infinitely more useful then when I mastered it and it only takes a small number of ranks(15) to hit three targets with an open mstrike. I also tend to suggest people master berserk first followed by tricks.
