Going to see this tonight. Hopefully it does not suck as much as the Joker looks in this movie. Anyone else going?

I'll wait until it is out on demand (and for my brother to buy it). Even then I probably won't watch it cause it looks dumb as fuck.

I'd love for it to be cool, but I've read some reviews and it seems like it's on par with Batman v Superman or so, which I can't say I'm surprised about.

Hollywood should really take a step back from comic movies and give it a rest.

It honestly sounds like a movie about how strange the production was would be a better movie than the movie.

The critics are wrong about “Suicide Squad,” according to an online eruption from the DC Universe’s fandom. The small but loud revolt against critical opinion demanded the closure of Rotten Tomatoes, where “Suicide Squad’s” aggregate rating among critics is hovering at about 30 percent. The negative reviews are “unjust,” the fan uprising said. The film has not yet opened in theaters.

DC comics should, Marvel is fucking killing it.
They need to get a full fledged plan like Marvel did. Know where you want the story to go and not just wing it.

I've seen every single one and haven't seen one I didn't like. Guardians of the Galaxy would probably be my favorite, with Deadpool being a close second.
To each their own though.

Yes, DC animated are really good... discounting Teen Titans now. But that is still TV. Marvel TV is somewhat getting better now that they have stuff on Netflix... but I almost wouldn't call those TV really.
DC needs to either steal some Marvel people to fix their movies, or just give the fuck up.

What I hate about Teen Titans is that Young Justice was actually damn good and they discontinued it for Teen Titans...

I had such low expectations going in that I actually enjoyed the movie. The two hours flew by.
Best character: Harley Quinn. She stole the movie.
Plus Margot's hot as fuck.

Netflix is just 21st Century TV, and Marvel has - by far - the best comic book TV show ever made. DC's TV shows are decent at best.

Are you talking about how Leto was supposedly being a teenage edgelord during filming? It sounds pretty funny.

I concur with all points. I wasn't expecting much, and was entertained even though it was entirely predictable. Also, I think they could have ditched 2-3 supporting roles and had a better movie. There just wasn't enough time to develop all of those characters. I was still entertained.

I didn't really like Kinnaman as Flag.. and I had to tell a friend who Scott Eastwood was in the movie since he had such a minor role.

I liked the character designs and the first half of the movie was really good. Things got fairly predictable and by the numbers in the second half, but it wasn't nearly as chopped up as BvS. I'd give it a B.

I also like Amanda Waller's character in this movie. She portrayed the comic book/cartoon version pretty well imo.

Yeah. I think the story about a competing studio version/director version seemed to come across in the film. They should have chosen that half over the other half.

I , like quite a few other people, liked the movie a lot more than I thought I was going to.
Before release I had high hopes. Then the critic reviews lambasted it, so my expectations dropped quite a bit. But after actually seeing it, again I need to remind myself, critic's reviews and mine dont seem to mesh up usually.
One thing I noted, the music/soundtrack in the movie was fantastic. I've noticed that can help make a soso movie good and good movie great. ie- Forest Gump, Pulp Fiction.
Anywho, was pleasantly surprised.

My experience exactly...
And I can't believe the music! I even whispered that to a friend during the movie.. that even if the movie does suck, the soundtrack is awesome so far!

GF dragged me to this last night.
The mashup of songs was very reminiscent of a commercial for those NOW music CDs. They literally played over 20 different hits at what felt like every turn and, for me, kind of ruined the movie. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting from what critics were saying, but it definitely could have been more polished. Lots of awkward moments and over-the-top forced coolness. I lol'd hard at Diablo. Anyways, go into it for the entertainment, and you'll be fine. Go into it expecting Iron Man 1, or the Captain America movies, and you're gonna be shaking your head.
TL;DR Didn't feel like I wasted my money, but definitely would DL/stream in hindsight.
I was super excited for this movie.
Then I saw it. Holy shit balls, basically 80% of the lines in the movies were in the trailer. Killer Croc made me die of embarrassment with him asking for BET. I literally felt like I watch the whole movie in the trailers, and that's probably because I went and saw every single version that came out for the movie. The main storyline was dumb as bricks, every line from the Joker was already heard in the trailer which makes me sad cause I thought he'd be in the movie more but wasn't. Oh god, the horror.
Maybe my problem was that I had super high ass hopes for this movie.
Oh fucking well.

Whenever I feel that way for a movie, I google bad reviews for it and it tamps down my expectations a little for it.. and I can enjoy it.

It is pretty telling when the "professional" critic reviews are at 26% and the regular audience goer has it at 76%. I've always felt professional critics are pretty out of touch.

Not that they are out of touch.. but they tend to go for the artsy fartsy type of movies.. you know, the ones that lose money at the box office but was "some of the most inspired acting in decades!"
