an ancient heraldic thumb ring - The ring is tarnished with time, but lovingly maintained. The face of the ring, encircled in silver, is set with a defined crest. Most prominent is a grey tower resting above a seven-pointed star on a field of scarlet. A flourish of silver scrolls outlines the tower, which is flanked to the left with a harp, and to the right with crossed pikes. A heliodor rimmed in black honors the tower.
There appears to be something written on it.
