Basically I am trying to figure out if I'm wasting points.

I can train my sylph ranger archer two levels beyond her current train. Should I add something to it?

I know I have her core down, and she rocks hard. I'm just trying to see if there is something else that she could be doing to make her more efficient.

I'm going for that sniper effect.

Here is what she has so far at level 24.

If you'd 1x this, you'd be done with it.

My opinion is as follows.

Spirit Lore for the 601/611/617 improvements.
CM for Shadow Mastery.
Also, if Redux isn't your thing, I would go up the 100's circle. Dragolyn, another archer I knew had 640/120 at 40. Was a great sniper.

SMC is a waste, IMO.

Yeah, I might just ditch it. I don't ever find myself needing it.

Thanks guys.

Having been a sniper without shadow mastery I can safely say it makes my life infinitly easier. Here's me:

At 56:

Armor Use..........................| 158 58
Combat Maneuvers...................| 158 58
Ranged Weapons.....................| 216 116
Ambush.............................| 158 58
Physical Fitness...................| 158 58
Dodging............................| 158 58
Harness Power......................| 158 58
Survival...........................| 158 58
Stalking and Hiding................| 216 116
Perception.........................| 216 116
Climbing...........................| 50 10
Swimming...........................| 50 10
First Aid..........................| 158 58

I skin / forage really well. I can hunt with an AS over 400 and a DS around 400 in offensive. Self spells, full wizard spell and a pure potion. I can break 400 DS in offensive with my AC and / or small statue.

IMO, if you are going for sniping (which it looks like you are) shadow mastery is a worth while investment. From a player vs. player standpoint, I'm still jumping back and forth on CM's I want to learn, right now it's a toss up between: 5 shadow mastery, 5 feint, 5 subdual strike OR 5 shadow mastery, 4 feint, 4 disarm.

Figure as a ranger, I probably wouldn't be using my CM's against a warrior / rogue. I'm still not quite sure how to go. Feint / disarm would stop a pure caster pretty effectively. I wonder if anyone could post any kind of information on subdual strike? Just so I can see how effective it is in a duel.

Subdual Strike blows hard. Disarm is the way to go, for the OTF hunting.

Man... getting rank 5 disarm and feint is so hard for my build... think it's worth it for me to just stop at 4 ranks in each?

From what others tell me, 3 ranks of it is plenty to provide defense. I plan on mastering it, since I use it to hunt with. Stun's got 2 ranks of cmovement, 3 ranks of disarm, and 4 ranks of sidebyside.

Until Rangers get either Bullrush, Stunman, or any other DECENT cman.

I've got 5 shadow mastery, planning on 5 feint and 4 disarm now. I can doit, it just takes a little bit.
