Got a camp that I'm going to burn to the ground tonight (still has like 400+ left) and wanted to see if any low level folks wanted to add a raze to their account for the required 5 razes in grimswarm. If you are down send me a PM. I am thinking of heading out tonight at 830pm EST.
My main is a locksmith and can open all the boxes and if only a couple people show interest I can help buy spell ups or if someone see's this and is gracious enough to provide some spells pro bono that would be amazing too.
Send a PM with character name and I'll send updated info from where we can start etc

I'd definitely be interested if you do this again. Level 12 and trying to stock up those razes so they're done by 15.

I have a bard in that level range I'd definitely enjoy bringing along.

So, I RAZED a few warcamps before I achieved rank 15 very recently (2 weeks ago), and those RAZEs did not contribute to the 5 I was required to complete. I don't think you can (if you ever could) get credit for past RAZE experience.
Note: I killed everything in the camp solo - so it was not due to razing a camp where I didn't contribute. I did two camps solo, RAZED them, and I was still required to RAZE 5 camps when I hit rank 15.

I always thought that you could raze 4, and then you were required to raze at least one when you hit 15 to get credit for previous.

That would have been great, but wasn't my experience... Maybe I did something wrong, but I intentionally cleared 2 camps an RAZED them before going to pick up my task for rank 15. I was still required to RAZE 5 camps (took me 3-4 days to complete solo as well).

This is how I did it.

Did the camps as a 25 warmage. Make sure you get full wizard and spiritual spells

Also curious from folks, how do sorcerers fair doing warcamps? Got another character and debating voln for the upcoming reim playground or GoS for warcamps because they are fun but I feel like sorcerers would get melted because of the AoE disables triggering the evil clouds of doom in warcamps and then just getting rt locked or maneuvered into dust

I recommend for anyone considering a new character that is actually planning to do GOS before the character is created - start IMMEDIATELY. GoS is incredibly easy to master before level 10 (though you will probably get to level 11-12 just from doing the GOS grind).
1. Make new character (any class and train to swing weapons).
2. Level to 3 and join GoS.
3. Get full wizard spellup
4. ???
5. Profit!
Definitely a little slower with the haste changes, but the fact that you can just stand in the middle of the warcamp in full offensive stance, and swing non-stop and easily kill the grimswarm means you win. The fact is that they don't start using any dangerous spells until around 15+, and almost no maneuvers.

I'm talking long term though, I've done the grind before just not with a caster later in life only squares. Is it viable or should I just hit up voln and then enjoy reim when it comes out

Imo Gos is easy to master as a young in, but the costs of
Keeping up your Sigils aren't fun when young. I'd do something else and come back to gos later unless war camps are your bread and butter

There's nearly zero value for a pure to go GOS. The mana regeneration options are the worst of the three societies. The AS/DS boosting abilities are the most difficult to keep active for resources a pure has at their disposal. At the end of the day you're getting easy access to warcamps, and heavy crit padding.
Instead, you could spend ~2mil for some temporarily crit padded leathers which can last years before the padding wears off (for a pure who casts from guarded stance), and raise up a young'in character in GoS to open warcamp entrances for you instead. The benefit to warcamping as a sorcerer is for maxing out necro energy. It isn't an easy option, though. Warcamps tend to shred sorcerers from my experience.

Haven't updated in a while but for those interested, it's not hosted by me but I have been partaking the last few weeks and it's a blast. drakes vanguard every Tuesday in WL does a warcamp romp and raze, with all levels welcome. Come at your own risk as there are capped folks, but at lvl 16-18 I have not died with them and although I have trouble hitting most things I still manage to hit a couple and fry, and the ladies and gents are superb.
This occurs 830 EST on Tuesdays, and to meet up you would go to the location of the trail to voln in WL (don't go trail, just the spot where you would go trail) and from there go north once and go gate. If you are in the drakes vanguard courtyard and see a sentry you have the right spot.
Most people know about this but for folks who didn't I figured Id pass on the info.
