Sorry for the delay folks, been working out of town and logged in last night only to fall asleep before i even did anything, lol.
These are used in forging and when combined with a weapon:

You draw the vultite sword. It makes a strange sound as it slides from your harness, like the distant scream of a forlorn soul.
>look my sword
The surface of the sword is a dull and lifeless grey, with pale vein-like lines visible when light is played across it.
They have history dating back to the Jantalar saga thing (95'-04'). I know no one cares, but just in case.
