PM your offers, please. Paying cash/silver/GoA. Ignore the impending trolls. I am a dead-serious buyer, in spite of forum rep.

Well, probably more reputable than the supposed "senior" members of this forum who told me that none of these items actually exist in GSIV. *Cough* Yet I'm the one with the negative rep. I wonder what else is out there "doesn't exist", that I will have in my hands within the next 30 days.
Paying 100M for the staff, which is about 20M more than it last sold for. Just sayin'. I want that MF'ing staff.

I did not say they didn't exist, I said your requests and actions were nonsensical. Like now, going from "give me offers" to "let me pay 20M over" in less than 25 minutes. Thats fucking nonsense. Wasn't gonna give you grief but you had to go and run yer mouth instead of just sticking to your outlandish post. smh
Who sold you this 100M silver you are now offering to throw around? I will be raptly anticipating the positive rep from the person you did over $1000 of business with...

Nonsensical actions are my right to carry out, of course, so long as I'm not hurting anyone, which I have no intention doing. I'm sure anyone who sells me anything at this point is going to wait for the dust to settle before publicly claiming any connection to yours truly. Just thinking logically. And, so long as we're thinking logically, since when does 100M go for $1,000 USD?
If anyone has a line on that staff, I'll pay you a 15% commission in silver (or cash, or GoA) for connecting me with a willing seller.
Thanks.

As long as he's willing to do GOA (and you want $1000 in GOA) what could go wrong? PayPal is a different story.

Honestly, Boot worn DB is the way to go. Save the pin slots for enhancives.
Also.. the correct way to request DB items.. is to post a pic of your boobs with LOL Brileus on them. If you are a man, you could have your GF do it... or you could write it on your dick I guess, but since we would have to blow up the image 2000 times to see it due to you having to write SO small to fit it all in....

I would say.... 60% of the last 10 years 100M Went for 1,000 or less. Normally 10 is the rate for silver. Market has been depressed for about a year now due to no major silver drain in GS and Duskruin.

The items you're asking for, very rarely do people put those up for sale. Trust me from experience; all the posts in the world won't help you get the top notch items you're selling.
My advice is to find who has the items and then make an offer. A little detective work and deep pockets will work over the constant posts on the forums. Trust me.
Keep in mind as well, even when you find the items, you'll likely have to overpay to get it.
PS - Change your forum ID and be as friendly as possible.

Better than the $17 per mil it was going for back in my day. I'll take it!

What about a taint shot? Best of both worlds.

Swell, but can you comprehend how such nonsense in this thousand dollar unregulated internet deal might be concerning?
I'm sure anyone who sells me anything at this point is going to wait for the dust to settle before publicly claiming any connection to yours truly. Just thinking logically.
Your tense makes it seem as though no one has sold to you yet, silvers are still being offered in huge quantities...hmmm. And I completely disagree with the "logic" that if you had had such a transaction they would not want to talk about it. Nonsense. Anyone with the 100M+ silvers that you are claiming to have for payment would be established on the forums, so what "dust" are they afraid of? You give yourself an unwarranted compliment if you think any of this has any bearing on anything.
And, so long as we're thinking logically, since when does 100M go for $1,000 USD?
Since when does 100M buy a 100M staff plus all the other rubbish you are after?

I feel like there are enough ways to mitigate the risk that I could protect myself from loss if I wanted to sell to 'em. I just never would cause he's a tool, regardless of if he can pay or not.

There are two merchants I'm thinking of (you know who they are) who have more gear than anyone in Elanthia. And most of it, even I cannot afford.
I'm a cheap date... 100M item is about my limit for casual purchases, for now. And top of my list right now is the viper staff.
Thank you for your kindness.

Seems to me that about 80% of board activity is people claiming that a buyer, or seller, is a scammer of some kind.
SEEMS TO ME that Simu could make a pretty penny by offering a simple escrow service (be it silver, cash, whatever) with third-party mediation and boilerplate legally-binding agreements on both ends to facilitate these sort of transactions. I'd pay 3-5% for a service like that not to have to deal with this bullshit.
Why, after nearly thirty years, does this not exist? I feel like this would be a nice profit-center for a company like Simu that does not detract from the value of the game, and would require zero additional operational infrastructure.

I wont be holding my breath for my td shield i presume? "3rd party" deals could be had in the form of GOA. Lastly, im beginning to feel you sound familiar, and if so, wondering when you're going to pay what you owe me already, bard.

Not a finance guy. I'm sure they've already looked at this and batted it down for whatever reason. Merely venting.

Don't expect anything extra or innovative from simu. Be happy their 25+ year old muds are still active.
If you want the top notch gear pay up.

seems to me that it's hilarious that your perception of these boards is what you've stated here, which is so divergent from what actually goes on here that it clearly says so much more about you than it does about the PC.

To be honest, I've never had a bad deal with folks in Gemstone, even going back to when they were selling virtual items on ebay. I know I've heard of scams happening, but it doesn't seem that hard to insulate what seems like a higher risk transaction. I wouldn't assume someone is 'dangerous' because their account isn't very old. Find some alternative methods of payment that may be more secure. I sold my armor for $2k or so of bitcoin, which turned out to be very good in the end because I didn't cash much of it in, and it has skyrocketed in price since then. Anyway, certainly there are trustworthy people who could act as intermediaries while transactions clear and such, it doesn't sound like time is of the greatest essence here, especially if someone is looking for more rare items. Note to someone, it doesn't hurt to do a little homework on current rates, they aren't what they used to be.

After further reflection, I think I just need to CTFD, do my research, have some Gods damned patience, and carry out my business in a private forum... which is where these sort of transactions belong anyway.
Thank you all for your time.

Here is a great way to find things on this forum. Search in google, but put site:gsplayers.com and then what you are searching for.

Strangely enough... with all the nonsense in this thread. He just spent 50M+ silver with me. Quick and easy delivery. I used the exchange verb because I hadn't seen any successful transactions, but everything fast and smooth.
He was also on a character with 145M fame which i assume he purchased with real life cash. His posts still make me a bit hesitant for real money transactions but it sounds like he's had a few of those and everything ok.

I said early on I didn't think he was a scammer any more. Any scammer would have ditched the tag long ago. Doesn't make his behavior any less fishy and offputting, but thats what you get when you have someone who doesn't know the game trying to make himself the best player in it by force fucking money down it's throat hole. I have directed a couple of my friends to SWIM as he likes to be called. Nothing like an ignorant buyer with a large pocket book.
Dollars to doughnuts this gear is all up for sale in a year. But to be fare, doughnuts are almost a dollar anymore.

Yes, but the same goes for monopoly money or dirty napkins. Can't spend money if all you have is wallet pictures of yer grandmother. :)
