Trump has narrowed his list of running mates to just 4 or 5 people. Trump says (http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-trump-runningmate-idUSKCN0YU2DO) he may wait until the convention to make the announcement. It would certainly be grand suspense that would increase the number of viewers.

Here's one name he can mark off the list, based on comments from yesterday..

One month after announcing his support for Donald Trump, Marco Rubio still believes that the presumptive GOP nominee is unfit to be commander-in-chief. "I stand by everything I said during the campaign," the Florida senator told THE WEEKLY STANDARD on Thursday when asked if he still believes Trump cannot be trusted with access to the country's nuclear weapons codes.

Rubio said that he is still a Trump supporter, since the nuclear codes aren't that important anyway.

There's no shortage of advice for Trump on a running mate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell weighed in..

“He needs someone highly experienced and very knowledgeable because it's pretty obvious he doesn't know a lot about the issues,” McConnell said. “You see that in the debates in which he's participated. It's why I have argued to him publicly and privately that he ought to use a script more often—there is nothing wrong with having prepared texts.”

I hope McConnell isn't angling for the job.
