So is contributing to the Indiegogo campaign only for people who are going to Simucon? If you aren't going but wanted the Goodie Bag items, could you just contribute and still get the items?

Our Indiegogo campaign is up: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/simucon-2016--2 You have until August 1st to purchase a perk that includes physical items, but we'll accept donations onsite for badges and any extra swag we have leftover. Goodie bag/auction tiers are subject to availability after August 1st.

Last year you had to be there and win a contest of any kind at Simucon to get the unlock for the auction block. It could change this year but just the XP orb alone was 7 million or so on the secondary market so absolutely worth it if that stays the same.

Question: If you do contribute but don't go, how do you ensure your character gets the IG items?

They respond to each contributor via email and you send them the account you want to receive the items on. It doesn't happen right when you sign up for the indigogo and the actual delivery was a couple weeks after Simucon if I remember correctly. They will track you down in-game and hand you your bag o' loot.
