I'm about to head back over to Game Crazy (addition to most Hollywood Videos) and demand a refund if my games are not there.
Backstory :
I ordered two used games from them, for $14, plus $12 for shipping, because the games had to come from another store. I placed this order 22 days ago, and as of now, they have still not called me to tell me my games are in. I checked in with them a few days ago, and was told they were "on their way."
If my games are not there when I go today, I'm going to demand a refund. I'm almost positive they are going to argue that they get to keep the $12 for shipping..Am I in the right to fight that?
I think I should get the full $27 refund..but then again, its my money and I'm biest in the argument. What do you all think?
Edited to change shop name. Its not Game Stop, its Game Crazy.

Yes you should.. especially if they didn't even bother to call you to tell you they are on the way or at the very least that they would be late.

100% in the right. Ask to speak to the manager, and if he/she says no, then ask for the district manager's number.

Well, I'm kinda friends with the manager..who is the one who placed the order. Thats my only drift with the whole thing. But on the other hand, its my friggin money, and its the company fault I don't have my games yet.
One of the games is extremely obscure and very hard to find..but he said they already had one located when I placed the order..so its not like they had to hunt it down.
Also, they said I'd get the games in 4-5 days..and like I said, its been 22.

Ask them what the fuck kind of shipping takes over 22 days that you have to pay $12 for. Are they paying Warclaidhm to scooter it over?

I can't imagine you'd get a hassle, even if you weren't his friend. That's ridiculous. And bad word of mouth is far more expensive than $12 in shipping. Any manager is going to know that.
You are more than in the right. It's your cash and they should refund your shipping as well. If they give you a hard time ask for the number to their corporate office and state your case.

14 for the game
12 for shipping
-------
26 total
And you're demanding a 27 dollar refund? If this works let me know so we can start a business. I'll do my best to order things that are nigh on impossible to get and then we will make the fat cash!!

As a Public Relations major, I tried looking at this on both sides and it sounds like you did too. Now, from what I've learned, they fucked up and they owe you your money. If they were smart and liked to do smart busniess (which I hope they do) they'd give you your full amount of money and the games. But I also know how us Public Relations people work, and we like money. So they'll probably try to jip ya. Fight for your money bro...
If all else fails, run around the store taking videos from certain sections and putting them in others, cackle evily, and run like hell!! :D

I work with shipping.
Good luck on that.
See why I don't order?
They don't even have to tell you if anything is backordered. Depending on the company's policy, MOST companies will do what they can for you, because they can't bill you until your merchandise has shipped. However, most retail places don't have such policies.
Anyway.... have they charged you?

Welp, I'm back. They had one of the games there, so I got that one, and got refunded on the other.
Saddly, the game I really wanted was the one that I got refunded :(

Oregon doesn't have it either. But Nevada has no state income tax, so we pwn all of you.

were you in a huge hurry to get the game?
I would have probably waited it out if I wanted the game bad enough.

Places like that always try to fuck you over. I bought a used X-box from a game stop and the guy said i had 90 days to return it. I got it home and plugged it in and the damn CD tray barely opened and the controller was busted. Basically, I go to school in the middle of nowhere (miami of ohio) and didnt have time to drive myself to Cinncinatti to return this x-box for about 40 days. I got there and explained my situation, and they said they couldn't refund me past 30 days if it was broken... i attempted to explain that it was broken when i got it, but they were having a difficult time comprehending this and told me to come back on Monday to talk to the owner. So i told them to give me the owners number, called him, and got my money back. Places like that shouldn't be allowed to do CR.
