At previous events, the most recent that I can come up with being the Culinary Collective, some weapons were sold alongside temp poison.
The weapons, seemingly plain, had on their show: A small stud is imbedded into the base of the xxxxx.
From what I understood you then pour the temp poison on said weapon and then it flares poison for a while.
The only zest I could find on it(it has no poison flares on it atm):
>touch xxxx
The reservoir on your xxxx is empty!
Question: wtf makes these weapons any better than another plain non-flaring blessable weapon that can receive temp poison?
Flare duration increased? anything?

Nothing, from what I recall. These were very much flavor weapons.
I've been wanting a poison OHB to add to my collection forever! But ultimately, they're not worth a ton.

The ones that are specifically made as poison-loading weapons get far more poison flares out of each dose. A single poison dose gives them 40 flares, and they can hold a bunch of doses. I think they hold 20 doses, so a full weapon could flare 800 times before being refilled.
EDIT: I'm actually seeing an old post (by me, lol) that says they hold 48 applications, so 1920 flares from a full reservoir.

Wow, super cool to know. I had no idea!

I thought there were some other things. I'll have to see if I still have it anywhere.

When these weapons flare, does anyone know how much they poison damage they do per round?
Cheers

I believe there are different types of poison possible, actually? I vaguely remember when I bought mine at the Culinary Collective event some 4ish years back that I stocked up on the strongest poison they had available. If no one else has a more definitive answer I will test it once it's done enchanting. I only just realized it was +12. Taking it to +22 now and I've still got about 9 flagons w/ 12 pours each stocked up still. I was thinking of altering it into a wakizashi with a "ninja" feel to it, what with the poison, before posting it for sale.

Do poison flares work against undead? Cause I was thinking it should be blessable before adding poison, then adding poison, to flare against undead.

I believe the poison would take up the blessing/flaring/weighting spot. As such I don't think you can add if the weapon is blessed or add a blessing once the poison is on it. And it wouldn't make much sense if poison did work on undead, in many instances, but I honestly have no idea.

Thanks very much. I'm wondering how they compare to the God Auction perma-poison daggers. I'm happy to be the victim if needed.
