Just found a working ibm 486 sx with windows 3.1.

Wonder if I can get the wizard to run on it? (Joke)

I swore by the wizard when I started playing in the mid 90s and stormfront was new. I'm fairly confident my friend who got me into playing GS had a 486 dx120 with windows 3.1, or at least had upgraded it to Windows 95 and we used the wizard.

I had a 486 SX. I had it upgraded to 32bit and got Windows 95 on it by the time I was done with it. I even got Starcraft 1 to run. Wizard'll work.

You'll probably have to go on a scavenger hunt to find a processor chip, because it might not have one. You'll also probably need to put in RAM.

Only counts if you dial in on a 14.4k baud modem and your mom disconnects you when she makes a call. :-p

StarCraft should work, original Warcraft and Warcraft II. I'd look for oldies, like Heretic, Doom, Hexen

Warcraft 1 and 2 does. Starcraft requires Windows 95+. I upgraded to 32 bit and from Win 3.11 to 95 specifically for SC, haha.

Note, the Warcraft 2 Battle.net edition won't work.

Fun fact :

There are some international airports that still run on Win 3.1 systems. Earlier this year, Orly ( ORY ) in Paris was shut down for 11 hours as system engineers attempted to revive their system controls.
