Methais
We bring up 240/317 being able to one shot everything most of the time, and his response is (paraphrased) "240/317 can kill in 3 seconds, but so can 515/519 and you have Mana Leech so it's a wash."
Not I disagree with the paraphrased statement, but it's not a quote if it's paraphrased.
Methais
Their complete reliance of on-paper stuff as opposed to an actual gameplay experience to justify the current state of wizards speaks volumes. Again, a spreadsheet can't gauge how fun or boring something is, regardless of what the numbers say. There is zero feeling of fun or of any sort of accomplishment playing a wizard post-nerf. Pre-nerf, this was felt every time I went hunting.
The assumption that we only rely "on-paper stuff" is incorrect. We base our decisions upon our own experience, testing in-game, analyzing the actual formulas used, simulated tests, and much more. Basically, the same methods any player would use (the former two areas), but more (the latter areas). I fully understand how something being imbalanced can result in making your character feel great (and thus the opposite effect when it's brought in line with other spells), but you yourself agreed with the overall assessment of the old Immolation (519), Methais. http://forum.gsplayers.com/showthread.php?22624-Fire-Lore-Appreciation
It is exceedingly unlikely there will be future adjustments to Immolation (519). I only state that to help guide the discussion into being more productive for all parties. If you want to make suggestions for other spells to enhance or create build options that would interact with 519 or other spells, we're definitely interested in that feedback.

How's your asshole feeling Methais? Estild just bent you over and went to town.
I used to think lores were a waste of TPs. However after buying a fixskills potion and maxing out my fire lore, Immolate is just a disgusting spell. It actually hits up to 5 times now, (I thought the cap was 4), the instant death shots are sick in their frequency, and when that doesn't hit, they almost always die from a crit instead.
This post has no real point to it, other than to say fire lore pwns, though I'm sure it'll get nerfed tomorrow with this post.
I can't stop.... smiling. Poor Methais. lol.
