I was looking for some help in regards to a new post-cap warrior. I was hoping to tap the collective knowledge here.

GoS Master. Warrior Guild Master in the solo stuff.

(Alot of points because I haven't figured out the best place to put them)

I currently use a 4x, undead bane/rotflare/blink claidhmore and do well enough in OTF and haven't really tried Nelemar/Rift/Confluence. For the Confluence, I have a set of Kroderine plate and a 5x wooden maul for when I decide to make that trip.

My first main goal is to get MoC to 90 and then.....

I really would like to try to go OHB/Shield/TWC. Probably not ideal for first post cap goals, but I've been THW from 0-100. I have some gear for this alternative build - 7x T3 splitter, 4x HCW/undead bane mace, and 8x spiked Banshee tower shield.

Is this a total waste of my time? Should I be looking at dodge to 3x, spells, magic ranks?

I figure with Fixskills around the corner, I should have a plan moving forward.

Not a waste, but I think I'd add some armor ranks first. Depending on where you're headed, getting your armor penalty down a bit is helpful. It won't take you long to get your OHB/TWC/Shield. You will probably want to choose to either go OHB/TWC or OHB/Shield first, then work towards whichever one you left out. If you go OHB/TWC, you may find that the third rank of dodge beats the shield, though it's more TPs to get that last rank of dodge than all 3 ranks of shield use. You might also want to aim higher than 90 ranks of MOC.

No matter which path you take first you are going to want more MoC, so I suggest you max that out first. After that is up to you really. You can save dodge as the very last thing depending on exactly where you want to hunt. I could hunt the third floor of Nelemar, plane four, and OTF just fine with 2x in dodge. It's places like the scatter and the back part of the second floor of Nelemar where you are really going to want 3x dodge. You can hunt them without but it can be rather annoying at times.

In all cases, I'd recommend getting to *at least* 2x armor first. Reducing your penalty will come in handy. I capped with 2x armor and regret not prioritizing 3x armor sooner than I did. I'd also get to at least 100 in MoC since you're very close. Having 6 unfocused / 4 focused mstrikes is well worth it whether you're TWC or THW.

Spells are a real slog. In general, I'd recommend finishing off your skills that directly affect combat before going down the spells route.

I think my postcap goals were, in order:

3x PF
3x dodge
2x MOC
3x armor
spells :(

Somewhere in there I padded out perception, trading, etc for general quality of life improvements.

TWC,UAC and Hurl with splitters is the way to go!

hurl hoy
With a quick flick of your wrist, you deftly send a xxx into flight.
The thorny barrier surrounding Hoy blocks your attack on him!
The xxx flies past Hoy, disappearing into the local environs.
With a quick flick of your wrist, you deftly send a xxx into flight.
You throw a xxx at Hoy!
AS: +243 vs DS: +684 with AvD: +38 + d100 roll: +5 = -398
A clean miss.
Momentum carries a xxx past Hoy to land nearby.
Roundtime: 5 sec.
Roundtime changed to 1 second.
>mstrike jab hoy
You concentrate intently, focusing all your energies.
You explode into a fury of strikes and ripostes, moving with a singular purpose and will!
You attempt to jab Hoy!
You have decent positioning against Hoy.
UAF: 541 vs UDF: 965 = 0.560 * MM: -64 + d100: 8 = -27
Nowhere close!

Thanks for the advice.

Do you recommend taking Armor to 280, or all the way to 303?

Would perception or survival be beneficial to target sooner than later?

Depends on what you are wanting to do. Mechanically there is no reason for 303 ranks of armor unless you plan to get enhancives and boost that up to 330. I stopped at 290 because it is after 280, gives me minimum hindrance with minor spirit spells and also lets me have 290 armor points which are split, 150 for max support and 140 for 4 ranks of slash resistance. I did 2x survival before perception but I wanted to be better at skinning and all the other things associated with that skill over perception. For me perception wasn't done until after 3x pf, armor, dodge, and before I started spells.

if we could actually split hoy in half and hurl him we would! 290 armor is a far more achievable goal to start with then dual wielding a whole new weapon type since that requires not one but 2 skills maxed or near maxed to be useful. Also as you work on physical skills you could easily use the spare mental points towards spells or magical burst proffing skills provided you don't convert the points.

Knowing your guy is in Plat, I'd echo what everyone else is saying. Focus on self-improvement as a base, then expand. Like Ardwen's stated, I'm working on MoC further, then using spare MTPs for Arcane Symbols to add to scroll durations. Auvreaian has magical items so I find it worth the point usage.

Auvreaian (at level 100), your current skill bonuses and ranks (including all modifiers) are:
Skill Name | Current Current
| Bonus Ranks
Two Weapon Combat..................| 300 200
Armor Use..........................| 240 140
Combat Maneuvers...................| 300 200
Blunt Weapons......................| 300 200
Multi Opponent Combat..............| 186 86
Physical Fitness...................| 400 300
Dodging............................| 300 200
Arcane Symbols.....................| 142 42
Magic Item Use.....................| 170 70
Harness Power......................| 140 40
Spirit Mana Control................| 82 18
Perception.........................| 200 100
Climbing...........................| 120 30
Swimming...........................| 200 100
Training Points: 9 Phy 2 Mnt
(Use SKILLS BASE to display unmodified ranks and goals)

Afterwards it'll be Armor Use for PTP's and magic skills for MTP's. Once(if) I can play more often, I may consider dodge, but I think I'd rather do smaller stuff then bite the bullet and rebuild those skills. 4.5 million for 3x dodge or somesuch is very much seppuku inspiring.
