So I'm really excited I got a second job at a sweet cloathing store (gadzooks... www.gadzooks.com)! Got the call today and I start tommarow. Gonna be interesting balancing two jobs... But I need to start saving up because I start college in a month and a half and I won't be able to work near as much then as I will now!
Those holidays are coming up too, and I have a habit of spending way too much money on people I care about.

Gadzooks was big about 8 years ago.
You lose.

Called today and start tomorrow. They mean business. Good for you for having the iniative to have two jobs.
I had a problem with holding down customer service/sales jobs. I guess some people can handle joe jobs and some people can't. I've worked both and you couldn't pay me enough to sell anything to anybody.
Hell, I don't see how I did construction for as long as I did.

Customers at Target used to complain that I was rude after they were being stupid.
I don't know what the fuck they're talking about.

So the editing job didn't work out? :saint:
And she makes fun of my spelling.

It's not really being an asshole to customer's that was my problem, it was the work itself. I was extremely unmotivated. Hiding in the supply closet and sleeping was the task of the day for me. I think I never was able to hold down a job like that for than three weeks, I have no idea how people last.

A woman shouldn’t have to work that hard.

I only give hard times to people that give me hard times. I.E. People assuming I have low self esteem because I post pictures (when holy shit, there are other people that post pictures as much as I do and they don't get shit for it) I just like looking at pictures, and I plan on not posting anymore on this site because I'm sick of getting accused of being conceited and fishing for compliments. I will also fully admit to being shitty with grammar and spelling. But if you give me shit about it, I’ll give you shit about it.
With that being vented, I started the job today. I’m already pissed off at the manager because I told her I didn’t have Wednesday available because between my two jobs I wanted to make sure I have one day off a week. Apparently that was too difficult to do because she scheduled me for this Wednesday and next so the only day off I have for the next two weeks is Thanksgiving. I also don’t get a break at this job (not that it’s a hard job or anything but I have to wear “stylish” shoes that are extremely uncomfortable and have to stand on my feet all day and to be able to sit down for 10 minutes on a 6 hour shift would be nice.
I’ve already decided I’m only going to keep this job until I start college because there is no way I’ll be able to be a full time student and have both jobs anyway, but the discount is very nice so I’ll suck it up.

I never understood the allure of working at a place with the intent of using it as a discout for stuff. I understand it may seem nice to be able to get things you want for cheaper, but wouldn't that also result in buying more stuff than you would otherwise? Saving money is more important than spending..
Jenisi, if you don't want to get shit for crappy ass spelling and grammar then don't give other people shit either, expecially when you can't even spell JOSEPH.

I copied and pasted it, didn't even notice that. And like I said I NEVER CLAIMED TO BE AN ENGLISH MAJOR.
All the less reason to give me shit for my spelling, huh?

It's the holiday season. Holding down two jobs during a busy season is never easy. I've done it and I hated it but I made a lot of money in the process. They'll schedule you for when they need you regardless of your other committments or they wouldn't bother to hire you if they have to adjust it constantly to suit you. That's just how retail is.

Heh, three years ago I used to work 5 am to 2 pm at my first job, then 5 pm to midnight at my other job. Made for rough times, but you're young and should work three jobs, walk to work and back barefoot in the snow thirty miles uphill.

It's always amazing how it's always uphill both to work and back home.
Boggles the mind.
