I need your help, I have two stat placement sets and I was curious as to your thoughts. I suppose for the second build I could swap the STR and CON stats, I'm not sure which is more important to a wizard. I'm seeing that I'll have roughly 135.5 more MTP's at level 100 if I use the second build.
Elven Wizard
Nets 4866 PTP, 5102 MTP
Level 0 Level 100
Str 88 100
Con 88 100
Dex 50 100
Agi 78 100
Disc 82 100
Aur 30 100
Log 62 100
Int 62 100
Wis 70 98
Inf 50 90
Nets 4759 PTP, 5182 MTP
Str 88 100
Con 67 82
Dex 50 100
Agi 77 100
Dis 82 100
Aur 30 100
Log 62 100
Int 62 100
Wis 73 100
Inf 69 100
Thanks

You won't be able to carry as much before you get encumbrance penalties applied to maneuver attacks with second build. You will also have less hit points (9 less).
But in gemstone usually offense is more important to just shut things down instead of trying to suceed on all manner of defensive checks (of which there seem to be dozens of different sorts of tests to not die when you let a creature act), and with all those extra MTP's you could have greater casting strength, more lores, etc. So, totally shooting from the hip but the second build sounds better. In other words be more like the red guy not the blue guy, in your avatar...

Why do you have to choose, pick one that is best for the first 60 trains or so then get a fixskill with bounty points and switch, not like you have to be locked into one forever anymore.

I would go with the first build. The natural padding from CON is great and GOS + Stamina Recovery might be the most brokenly powerful combo in the game at the moment. Also Influence is bad. Also unless I am reading it wrong after conversion its a difference of 35 points mental. That would put you a whole two days of grinding xp ahead of the CON build.

GPS with a good stamina recovery is great. That said, will you be training PT heavily? An elf with low PT isn't all that great in GOS.

But it's a Wizard. They are supposed to be squishy. I'd go with the more TPs personally. You have lores and disks for encumbrance and what is that other thing, quickstrike? TPs are always hard to come by and isn't WI one of those major Wizard stats anyway? Want to see that at 100.

As a wizard, because you're generally only in offensive for a second or two, you're not getting hit much. But when you do get hit, you're in full offensive and are generally easier to be critted. That's why wizards generally want a lot of crit padding and where a higher CON stat can be more beneficial than WIS.

Wisdom is TD and I would want as much TD as possible, DS is easy to get.

DS is piss easy as a Wizard. CMan defense is where you'll be requesting lube.

Spirit TD, yes. And I can say as a Halfling wizard who set my stats to max at cap (current WI is 84, at level 0 it was 73), I generally wished along the way that my spiritual TD was a bit higher. Although I don't know how much difference raising my WI stat would have made in my actual TD. I'm not casting doubt by that statement, I mean I really just don't know. That being said, it was generally fairly easy to get scrolls with 101, 107, and 313 to help with that.

Amen to that.

I went from 0-100 with these stats. I think I altered them slightly for the first 30 days but when that 30 days came to an end, I went with this for cap.
