Knife is the Droughtman's version of the steel skinning knife I sold last year and it indeed improves skin values

The skinning knife makes more valuable pelts and assists in the skinning process itself if needed. When skinning you'll see the message, "The fine edge of your steel skinning knife gleams brightly as you begin skinning the..." The knife has been excellent for making my characters who are less inclined successful at skinning bounties and generally increasing skin value.
