Tech help plz

My speakers aren't working because the drivers aren't installed. When I try to install them from windowsupdate, they don't work and don't say why. When I try to install them through Sounds & Audio Devices in the control panel, that doesn't work because access is denied. I'm positive I've got admin privileges on this computer, so how do I fix that?

Access denied = not admin, probably a power user.

Try this, unzip the drivers(or save them if they aren't zipped) into a folder on your computer. Go to control panel >> add hardware(or whatever it is in the home edition) >> go through the prompts and when you can point it to drivers point it to that folder.

Also get rid of home edition and go to pro.

Alright, I fixed it. I didn't download the drivers, but I used msconfig to boot up in safemode, selected the administrator account, then used that to install the drivers. I win so hard :heart:

You lose because your account doesn't have admin rights.
