I'm wondering whether anyone uses major shock as a main source of attack at cap and if so, how effective is it? Is it worth it to build a training plan around that as your primary attack?

My Wizard uses it quite a bit. War griffins and seers hate it. And I use 518 which is basically a room version of it. With water lore training you get the occasional aftershock which damages and can stun the target.

Ditto what Soulance posted.
That being said I tend to use 908 for the splash. It usually keeps the heralds/initiates/scouts from nipping at my heels while I concentrate on the griffins/seers/adepts in the room.

Same here Askip. It hits pretty hard too. And I'll toss in a 502 if I remember to do it. I like to hit em with 512 for the ice patch, then 903 for the ice block toss from it depending on what I'm hitting. If it's a seer or griffin, I just try to kill them asap. 510 hits them hard. And as Askip says, 908 will quite often stun where it can. I also use a 505 on seers to knock them down and/or 909 self-cast "TAP" command to get them off their feet for an extra round of at least making them get up and not casting at me.
I've actually been having some fun with it.
